I expected higher quality

I bought this for 80 bucks and thought I was getting a reasonably high quality item. I was disappointed when I took it out of the box. It has a very cheap feel to it, like it's going to break in your hands. All that is needed to open the dvd tray is a slight lifting up of the door. The menu will drive you mad as half the time what you select doesn't take. The sound at least on the disc I was using was horrible, very distorted. I make my own dvd's from shows that I recorded from my pc and although they have played fine on other dvd's there is no setting on this dvd player that will allow them to appear as they do on television, just widescreen so everything is stretched. I also noticed that l can see the ribbon that goes from the bottom to the top screen, I can't imagine why they left that exposed. I expected a lot more from RCA. I returned it.
