Great TV

This is a great buy. $289.00 for a 46 inch tv is less than half of what others cost. Ordered tv on a friday with free site to store shipping. TV was ready for pickup the following monday. Easy to set up, great picture and just decent sound. Has a ton of inputs and outputs which is vital for surround sound etc. I bought this to replace a 42 inch tv that was not quite big enough. My blu ray player connects to the internet and I have only used it once so I did not need or want a "smart" tv. So cheap I am considering buying the 50 inch and placing this one in my bedroom.

BUYER BEWARE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

SAVE YOUR MONEY. DON'T BUY THIS JUNK. THE BACKLIGHT ON THE FIRST ONE I GOT QUIT WORKING AFTER 31 DAYS. RCA SENT ME A REPLACEMENT AND THE BACKLIGHT WENT OUT IN LESS THAN 24 HOURS. VERY FRUSTRATED!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

very happy

bought mine 4 months ago at a little lower price. my 32 in. quit and
i had wanted a 46in. or larger for some time when i came across this
tv on kmart web site. so far, the tv has been better than i could wish.
i purchased the extended service contract, but i think it was a waste
of money as the tv works fine.

The Best TV for the Best Value and Price!

Ok, 1st I must say I NEVER take my time to write reviews but this TV i absolutely HAD to let everyone else know how AMAZING this TV truly is!! It blew me away. its very modern looking with a modern and user-friendly menu -- for starters the price is unbelievable and I cnt believe Sears isn't charging way more for this value! I understand it is refurbished, but dont let that discourage you, like the other reviews said this TV comes in BRAND NEW, in triple packaging, and the setup takes less than 5 minutes if that to put stand on, not to mention the screws are magnetic to your screw driver! Coherently the engineers were thinking user friendly when designing this product! When I turned it on I was amazed by the pixels and graphics, the picture is phenomenal!!! especially if you have HD the colors will just wow you!!! And the sound is way better than I expected based on other reviews..it goes up to 100 and I would say no surround sound is needed. This TV is way too low in price for the value you are getting! a 46" 1080 TV with this quality is honestly too good to be true. the only negative is it takes 3-4 weeks to deliver to store but what do you expect for such a low price! I can't stop raving about how much of a bargain and of-great-value this TV is.. HIGHLY recommended!

Best tv value ever

Somewhat skeptical about refurbs......mine was absolutely like new. Everything was packed well (in a box within another box) and in perfect condition. This tv amazing for the price. To think you can get a tv this size for less than $300 is nothing less than astonishing. No dead pixels. Good refresh rate compared to my other HDTV (a Philips 32").....motion for sports is not blurred nearly as much. Sound is better than most have stated in other reviews, but not great. Didn't expect it to be. Menu is simple and not feature rich, but enough to get a great picture and decent sound quality. Cabinet is glossy black and reasonably attractive.......somewhat flimsy, but expected that as well. Stand mounts easily.....and holds the tv also somewhat flimsy, but solid enough (just be careful if moving it around). 1080 is a step up from 720 of the Philips....detail is very good at the 1080i max of most tv stations. Streaming Netflix with 1080p the detail is absolutely awesome.....and looking forward to getting a blu-ray. Contrast and colors are very good for the price and a huge improvement over the older Philips (which is not a bad tv at all.....but I paid almost twice the amount a few years ago for what this tv costs today and this RCA blows it away). Bottom line is you can't find a better deal for this size of a tv. Sears put it in my vehicle for me at the store. It takes a few weeks to be shipped to the store of your choice, but it's worth the wait when considering it's free. Is it as good as the top tiered sets from LG, Sony, or Samsung? No, but it's a fraction of those prices.....and the degree of inferiority (at least picture quality wise) is not relative to the huge cost difference (not even close). Unknown long term durability notwithstanding, this is by far the best value in a relatively big screen tv......and worth the risk of failure within the time frame of the refurb warranty. I'm giving it 5 stars because of that value. Even if price was no factor at all I would still give it at least 3 if not 4 stars. If you're on the fence about buying a big screen tv because of price....and concerned about picture quality accordingly......do not hesitate to buy this refurbished product!

Great for Price

I was really skeptical to buy this TV because it is refurbished but I needed a TV and only had a little budget to work with, I decided to give it a try and take my chances and this item works way better than what I thought it would. TV shows clear picture and was east to set up. Could not even tell it was refurbished, look and act like it is brand new. Best choice I made to save a few bucks...
