Have had the white version of this refrigerator for 1+ years now & did a lot of research before buying. First, do NOT pay $2900. You should be able to get a price match for several hundred dollars less. I think we paid around $2,100. That said, we love this refrigerator. Key selling points for us were its counter depth (no more sticking too far out from the cabinet line) yet still a very roomy interior, high consumer goods ratings, a chiming alarm if one of the kids doesn't get a door closed all the way, a super-smooth sliding freezer drawer with upper & lower compartments, flip-up shelves for easy reconfiguration of food items, & a fabulous divided deli drawer with separate temperature controls, including a fast-chill option (great for that bottle of wine you forgot to chill). The white model also uses separate fans for the freezer and the refrigerator, so there's no air mixing between them. Only thing we worry about is the icemaker/water dispenser, the Achilles heel of all fridges.
White is still a strong trend. This Samsung counter-depth refrigerator has amazing capacity. Users dig this machine. Twin cooling fans keeps food naturally fresh, nor wilted. The CoolSelect drawer lets you decide what temps needed to get the dinner done--thaw or chill. With more premium features than average, analysts say it ranks in the top one percentile of refrigerators.
