Great Energy Star Refrigerator for the price

This refrigerator has LED lights inside to save even more energy than other energy star comparison models that cost more. Has a quick freeze option that allows me to quickly freeze items I have loaded from the grocery store.  Also has a great energy efficient mode when we are gone for the weekend that saves power knowing that the doors will not be opened and closed.

Very happy with the functionality of this model and it also looks great.

Google Samsung refrigerator class action lawsuit

Loved for the first 13 months then started sounding like a helicopter every time fan came on...clicking on built up ice. System has defects and Samsung knows it and doesn't care. Worst customer service ever. Repairman won't work on, says useless. Google Samsung refrigerator class action lawsuit and ask yourself if it''s worth taking a chance when there are other options out there.

Don't waste your money

I fell in love with this fridge at the store. However I very quickly fell out of love with it. We have lost all of the food from our fridge/freezer 3 different times in 3 years. The first time was within 6 months of owning the fridge. Don't waste your money on this Fridge. It has a mind of its own at times and isn't worth the hassle. I will never buy another Samsung Refrigerator!! Do some research on your own and you will see there are many others who have had the same issues with the same and different models of Samsung refrigerators.

DEAD IN 2 MONTHS! Couldn't repair after 4 tries and 3 months of no fridge

This was a nightmare! Bought this fridge without reading online reviews. Made 1 payment and the fridge side went to 50 degrees. All our food spoiled. Repairman took 2 weeks to come to fix it, then took a week waiting for parts. The wrong parts arrived and we waited another week. After new parts were installed the fridge went back up to 50 degrees. Repairman came a week later and told us Samsung is junk. ordered different parts and a week later put them in.... still didn't work. Sears was very unhelpful even though we had a 3 year protection plan and had now had a broken fridge longer then a working fridge. We were told that we have to have a tech try to repair the fridge 4 times within a year in order to be able to get a different fridge. We were also told we would have to pay to get a temp fridge or continue to live eating out of a cooler. Image 2 adults and 1 child eating out of a cooler for THREE MONTHS! All the ice we had to buy... how many times we had to go out to eat... all while the sears bill keeps coming in the mail. We haven't had milk in our house for 3 months! This was during Thanksgiving and we wont have a new fridge till after Christmas. I cant explain how much of a hassle this whole experience has been. Hours after hours of one sears rep making you call another. No one taking responsibility. Wrong parts being ordered. Weeks of waiting for parts to come in or for the tech to show up. Let me sum this up in 4 words...
DO NOT BUY SAMSUNG!

Terrible Water and Ice Dispenser - READ Before Purchase

As a fridge / freezer it is OK but... Before you put this in your shopping cart be warned:
1. The Ice Maker shoot (where the ice goes from the maker to the glass) clogs up with ice (and frost) very quickly. Result Ice on the floor when you poke it out with a screw driver.
2. The Water dispenser shoots the water towards the back of the fridge not the front as all others do, so when you remove your glass... water ends up all over the floor.
3. There is no drip tray so when water and ice do end up below or around glass there is on where for it to go except on the floor.

This machine is a mess. Terrible design and a mess. I guess Samsung didn't copy Apple on this one!

As a result I hate this machine. I bought it about 6 months ago and I want it out of my house. If I could get half my money back I would take it. Absolute junk.

Fridge Review

The Samsung Side-by-Side Refrigator has been a great purchase. There is a lot of room. The shelves are easily adjusted to make storage room for any size item. The water & ice in the door is convenient. The freezer has a section next to the ice maker that is the perfect size for storing medium size frozen pizzas!

Great buy

I've had this for about 2 years and it has been awesome. Its performance led me to purchase a Samsung dryer.

Great frig for the price!

We've only had this item for a couple of weeks, and so far, so good! The water has great pressure and it's big enough for our family of 4. The price was great as well since we took advantage of the sales happening at the time.

Great fridge except....

There is a lot to love about this fridge but it has a really funky design flaw. The water spout is slanted backwards and between that and the outlet for the ice it is really difficult to fill a water bottle. Beyond that it is an excellent fridge overall.

Ice maker gone bad

Same problem as other owners. The ice maker making a big chunk of ice that blocks the water flow. The fridge was making noise and stopped making ice.

Samsung Side-by-Side

This refrigerator is nice and spacious inside. But, beware when trying to get ice from it. Be prepared to pick up scattered ice cubes from the floor.

OK, but...

ice maker very prone to forming ice in the area between the ice maker proper and the door ice/water dispenser. it builds up to the point of making it difficult to open the freezer door! the instructions indicate you have to press the dispenser level halfway in for water, all the way in for ice. It doesn't mention that you also have to manually select ice or water first! In water mode, it often spills onto the door when removing the glass.
