Great Energy Star Refrigerator for the price

This refrigerator has LED lights inside to save even more energy than other energy star comparison models that cost more. Has a quick freeze option that allows me to quickly freeze items I have loaded from the grocery store.  Also has a great energy efficient mode when we are gone for the weekend that saves power knowing that the doors will not be opened and closed.

Very happy with the functionality of this model and it also looks great.

Refrigerator/freezer that doubles as a crock pot!

I was thrilled to get a good deal on this Samsung refrigerator/freezer. Sears delivered it quickly and set it up expertly on a Saturday. I had a full load of ice in just a few hours. However, on Sunday night, the power flickered at my house, as it does from time to time. I got up Monday morning and didn't take anything out of the fridge, but my son called me around mid-day to say all the ice had thawed and run out all over the floor and the fridge was not cold. When I got home from work Monday afternoon, I saw he was right. After pouring through the owner's manual and the set up guide I discovered that this model refrigerator turns itself into "demo" mode whenever there is a power interruption. That means the lights stay on but the compressor stops running, hence, no refrigeration occurs! One obscure reference to this on the set up sheet says you have to manually reset the refrigerator and freezer to start the refrigeration again. Hard to do when you're not at home.A call to Samsung confirmed that this "feature" is indeed designed into this model. However, the unit will turn refrigeration back on automatically when the internal temperature reaches 149.5 degrees! So, a combination refrigerator/freezer/crockpot!!!No one at the Sears store knew about this or told me about it before I bought. However, they did take the unit back and refunded my money, except for the $70 delivery charges. We're still talking about that.

Great Product!

I love the sophisticated stainless look and fingerprint-free external surface this fridge offers. It also has plenty of room and shelves for food storage, energy-conserving features such as lighting, plus an alarm that alerts you if any of the two doors have been left open for more than about 30s-1min. I also like the digital face used to control the settings of the fridge and the water and ice options. I'm glad I chose this fridge.

Google Samsung refrigerator class action lawsuit

Loved for the first 13 months then started sounding like a helicopter every time fan came on...clicking on built up ice. System has defects and Samsung knows it and doesn't care. Worst customer service ever. Repairman won't work on, says useless. Google Samsung refrigerator class action lawsuit and ask yourself if it''s worth taking a chance when there are other options out there.

26 ft Black Fridgedair Refrigerator

I have only had the Refrigerator less than a week but so far it is great to be able to see the temperature from a distance and the vegetables seem crisp for a change. Of course my other refrigereator was almost 25 years old so its hard to compare.I am abit upset that this same Refirgerator is 90 dollars cheaper this week. I don't think that is right.

Run, don't walk away from samsung w/icemakers

If you want ice cubes, don't buy any Samsung unit. The problem is universal to the brand. My initial unit failed after just a few months, they replaced the ice maker, it never produced a single ice cube, it makes ice slivers if you manually hold the reset button in. Nothing I did to increase the water volume worked and I followed their instructions. I developed a leak from a in-line water filter so turned off the water to the unit, a couple of months later the filter replace light came on. Must have a timer because there was no water entering it. The filter life is very short and they are costly to replace. This is the worst purchase I've ever made in appliances and would not recommend to an enemy much less a friend, lol.

A fairly large frig with a good SEER rating.

I like that this 26 cu.ft. frig is energy efficient, the price is right in line with other units that about the same size, but it seems that this one has more extras to offer for the price.

good looking fridge at the right price

As of now, I love this fridge. It's only been about two weeks. Also, I've never had one so large nor with the ice/water dispenser. Perhaps I'm easily wowed- because many of the complaints with this fridge are right on: The drawers are cheaper plastic and will break if you use too must force. The crushed ice setting will spray everywhere, at times. I don't need crushed ice, so it's not a problem for me. It took a little while for us to get the hang of the ice settings, but know that I've gotten to know it I never really get ice on the floor. Ha. It is a bit deep, but doesn't stick out awkwardly even though our kitchen is pretty small. The stainless steel is really nice, and the price can't be beat. So, if you want a decent fridge with a few easily tolerable cons, this one is yours. I would buy it again.
