The volume isn't very powerful.
I have the speakers installed, with the rear ones in the ceiling. Sporting events and movies are outstanding.
This is a great surround sound system for any TV, any man/lady cave or just adding some boom to your gaming experience. Easy to set up and the included Blu-Ray player is nice. Speakers are of good quality and you get enough sound wire to really put the speakers anywhere. One thing to mention and the reason for the 4 stars is that they recommend the wireless speaker to add to it, but good luck finding it. We tried and it was out of stock everywhere. Found out it is no longer made.
Great system! Rocks our socks off! Love the fact that the rear speakers are wireless from the main unit, bluetooth. Remote takes some time to get used to. Neighbors haven't complained yet, but they will!
Beautiful sound. Goes great with my samsung un55d6000. Great smart wifi technology. Easy.
I purchased this samsung home theater system in Thanksgiving 2011. I enjoys this system. It has 3D Blueray playing capability in full 1080 HD with 1000W sound output.
Very easy to set up. Set all six speakers as per music room set up shown in manual, did music room calibration using microphone provided with the system. This system says it has built in WIFI but you have to buy either samsung wifi adapter or use ether net connection. I used ethernet connection to connect to internet. This system has smart hub which displays all apps available on samsung website. I enjoy using You Tube, HULU , VUDU and Amazon Videos.
I also enjoy FM radio as well as IPOD music using IPOD Dock comes with this system. Overall nice experience.,
The system has good sound and is really easy to set -up. The sound is very good. I woul dhowever recommending getting the more expensive system which has a wireless capacity. But I can live with wires especially since they are prperly marked to connect to the set. I like using equipment all of the same manufacturer-I have the 48" flat screen TV. Very happy with both.
You might require an optical cable to get the sound to come out just off the cable box. I'm still figuring that out-might mean you have to leave the theater system on during viewing. I do have several other auxilary systems working off the same set.
As with all product always get the warranty. Sears has always done a good job on its warranty program, unlike some other vendors who think they give the best buy and then do not stand behind their product lines. I expect no problems though but if I do I know Sears will stand by their product line and services.
It is too bad that for a system that provides Internet, Blu-Ray/DVD, ipod, AnyNet capability, and cable capability that it does not have seemless "switching". When moving back & forth between Blu Ray/DVD and Cable, I virtually have to reset all audio capabilities in order to get sound. For a small living room, the speaker system will rock you .... Installation is easy .... although mounting adaptors for the speakers would have been preferred, instead of just the slotted hole in the back of the units. All in all, unit works for me, but did expect more for my money. I still have to use three remotes (one for the cable provider, one for the home theatre system, and one for the HDTV, even though it is a Samsung, and has almost all of the same buttons --- but not all, mind you!
