I've had this DVD for over two years and it still works great

This DVD player is great. I've had it for over two years and it works perfectly. The only down side is that it sometimes makes a humming sound that can be a bit anoying.

DOES NOT play DivX HD! ! !

So I bought this DVD player for one reason and one reason only. When reading the description of the item it says that it plays DivX HD. Now if only that was true I'd be happy with this item. But no I am no happy with it. Turns out that the Sears description is wrong on the website. The C500 DOES NOT play DivX HD in fact it doesn't play DivX at all! The one that, does play it is the C550 So disappointed with this item I'm taking it back to the store tomorrow for refund and taking my business elsewhere!

very user friendly

The Samsung dvd player comes with remote and includes the battery to start your experience with this dvd player. The Samsung dvd player is very user friendly and easy to use. It has on screen menu for different dvd playing features. I really highly recommend this dvd player as which I have 2 of them.

A Samsung up-conversion DVD player for a great price!

I've been looking for a DVD play with Up-Conversion that was well priced and this Samsung one fit the bill. It is extremely easy to set-up and use. I haven't used it for anything other than watching DVD's and for that it works great. It is pretty slim which allows it to fit esaily in my entertainment center. The only downside, as someone else mentioned, is that it is a bit noisy. If you are looking for a super quiet DVD player, this is not the one for you but other than that it works great.

Excellent price, excellent device!

This one is for our playroom, and the kids have found it very easy to use, for the parents it makes things easier to keep clean because it doesn't have a ton of buttons on the front, keeping the little hands off the device and incidentally turning off the DVD on themselves!Great video quality and multiple output options make the features on this portable, and it upconverts all DVDs to progressive scan 1080 (if your TV handles the resolution) and 720, 480 etc...Great buy !!
