Sanus JFV57 - Great Quality and Value

I bought this on sale for $279.99 from Sears Online. For that price it's a great value, and way better than I expected. The product is made from very dense and thick heavy wood, not from cheap MDF cardboard like material which many other products are made from these days. The veneer has a very nice rich color with a nice grain. The glass doors slide easily from side to side which I like better than doors that pull outward. I have a 55" TV on top and a 17"w cable box and 17"w DVR player on the shelves with plenty of room for more stuff. Make sure you verify the interior dimensions of the shelf areas fits whatever you plan to place inside of it. For me the height of the TV on this stand is perfect for viewing from a seated position. The interior shelves are all Aprox. 17 5/8"w x 12 1/8"h. The shelves adjust up or down with 3 holes 1 inch apart. If they made more holes for adjustment that would have been better but I don't have any problem with it right now. If I really need more holes for adjustment, I could easily drill the extra holes. You can contact Sanus for any info by emailing them using the contact form on their website Sanus.com. They are very responsive. You can also request color samples on wood swatches if you want to be sure of the color. The stand was easy to put together except for the 2 feet which attach with wood screws and take quite a bit of muscle to screw in by hand. You will need a good Phillips screwdriver with a good handle for gripping for that. I added heavy duty felt padding to the bottom of the 2 feet which makes it very easy to slide on my wood floor without scratching, even with the TV and everything else on it. There were a few very small minor areas on corners that could use a little touch up so I called Sanus to find out if they had a touch up kit. They said they didn't carry those anymore and mentioned I could easily find something in a furniture or hardware store. They were willing to replace anything I needed for free to make me happy but due to the minor nature I declined. I found a color furniture touch up marker in a local store made by MinWax called WoodFinish Stain Marker. I chose the Dark Walnut #2716 color and it worked great for the minor touch up and will come in handy for any future scratches. Besides the 2 large feet supporting the stand there are 2 small peg type legs that bolt in under the middle of the cabinet which you don't see in the pictures. Most TV cabinets over a certain width have these additional legs which add additional support in the middle. The product is very solid and sturdy even without those legs, but additional support is always a good idea.

Great build quality

I was very impressed with how good the build quality was on the stand, it was very easy to but together. Be careful though this is not the one that mounts to the wall although they look the same. Still love this stand. sanus is a great company
