We purchased the Schwinn 150 to replace an older bike. We intended to buy the Nordic Track, but instead bought this one. Excellent choice. We are very pleased with it. Easy to put together, my husband did it by himself. I ride it daily, very, very, quiet. It has so many options on it, I don't even use half of them. I am pleased that it tracks time, calories, distance, enough for me. The seat is comfortable. I have no negative issues with it at all. We got great service and they were prompt loading it. We bought it on Friends & Family night so got an even better deal plus 12 months free financing. Good job Sears.
I upgraded after several years with an older model that met my needs. A month after getting the 150 and having it work fine, it suddenly began to go into Pause Mode after 55 minutes. Sears has been great in scheduling appointments and sending a qualified repairman - but they have replaced the console AND the motor and it now kicks into Pause after 40 minutes. I just want a bike that works - not one that requires me to spend hours on the phone and have it replaced one part at a time. Do Not Buy This Bike.
I tried out the floor sample of this Schwinn 150 upright bike at the Sears store, but I decided that I would prefer a new model to the floor sample. The price was good for a brand new, entry level upright exercise bike. It also doesn't take up much space either. It arrived on time as promised. I've never put a bike together before, but my husband helped me with it. So, I tried it out immediately. I've used it several times since and have been pleased with the bike; I feel like it will help me stay in shape and build up my cardio stamina.
I have had the bike for 4 days. My husband put it together the day we purchased it. It took him awhile to put it together, but he was successful. I have used it each day and I am very pleased with it. The reason I gave 4 starts instead of 5 was due to the instructions on how to put it together did not go into depth on explanation, and I am 5'5'' and the fan is made for someone who is 6'.
Easy to assemble. Solidly built. Works as advertised. Extremely quiet. Seat is a good compromise but, certainly not like the one on my road bike. It does the job with plenty of adjustment for the discriminating ****. Not terribly intuitive but, easily mastered. Great value for the money. If you are a Lance A. wannabe, spend more bucks and get the latest and greatest out there. You won't get that much more of a workout but, you'll look really cool to your rinds.
Schwinn 150 upright bike is a budget priced offering for cycling folks held back from the road due to inclement weather. It is set ergonomically upright so you feel as if you are riding outside. But unlike bikes this cycle keeps health records and optional choices on levels of weight resistance. Remember to get a good mat underneath this product.
This bike was very easy to put together, even the tools that were supplied with it worked well, only took about 30 mins. The bike is extremely quiet and smooth. A read thru the manual, and a few minutes playing with the buttons and the electronics worked fine, it will just take a few trips on it to remember what they all do.
I bought this new bike late last month to replace one I had purchased more than 20 years ago. I had Sears deliver it and assemble it. It took them less than 30 minutes to assemble in my guest room and has been working well. The bike is very quiet and has various settings. I use the manual workout but you can set intervals. The console is good size with space for water bottle and book if you opt to read while biking. Console tracks calories, watts, distance, heart rate, etc. and is easy to read. The bike's size and weight is manageable. I can pull it in and out each day when I am doing exercise. It has hidden wheels so rolling it is possible - mine is on carpet. Overall this bike seems like a very good value. I have been riding about 30 minutes twice a day and am pleased thus far with the selection of this Schwinn 150.
The actual functioning of the bike is good, as far as the workout. But this is a product with problems. The instructions on how to operate the bike computer are inadequate. The **** that is supposed to loosen so that you can adjust the seat is stuck. I had to get pliers to loosen it. For that reason, I cannot recommend this product. If Schwinn fixes that problem, and comes up with better instructions for operating the bike computer, my rating would jump to 4 stars.
Still don't know how to ride daily--the directions ARE HORRIBLE!!!!
I had an old windracer that came from a commercial gym for many years. It wore out and I replaced it with the Schwinn 150. I'm very satisfied with the workout I get and the price was good too.
