This item is a must for anyone who wants to keep a current backup of their computer systems. I have 3 different systems. It will keep multiple system back-ups organized for you. It does take some computer knowledge to understand some of the info but nothing too complicated. I am considering a second one just for things like movies, music etc. I would highly recommend this item to anyone in need of this type of device. I purchased a refurbished unit but truthfully cannot tell that it isn't new! the only drawback it has is that it does not come with a padded case for it. I recommend purchasing a case if you are going to be toting it along with you to transport movies or music etc to a friends or for a weekend getaway etc.
I've had mine for about a year now, I love it. I use it to backup all my files on my computer daily. Its great for saving my photos on. I have already needed to use it one to restore all my files to my computer because it crashed! I am so grateful for this HDD! Its so easy to use!
