Fantastic Chair for the Price

Love the chair! It is where you can curl up with a book, cup of tea and a dog, with room to spare. The storage makes it a favored place to sit, no need to get up and look for remotes or a current book. We are so pleased with it that we are buying a second one!

Big man......NOT!

Chair is advertised for a big man...perhaps they mean big as in overweight. I am 6ft and this chair is not comfortable at all. My ankles hang over the end and my head is above the back. This would be an ideal chair for a shorter man, but for me, I am not very happy. I received it as a Christmas gift and will have to return it. Secondly, the leg rest is difficult to reseat. When getting up, I have to slam the leg portion to get it to lock in place. For the price, I would expect better functionality of the leg rest.

looks nice

Had to return.. When I sat in it, my **** hit the board between the upper and lower cushions. I guess you really have to be big..

Just What I Expected

This chair is exactly what I was hoping for from the appearance to the comfort. Oversized and very comfortable. Roomy enough to sit or curl up or stretch out flat. The massage is kind of loud but works well. The left arm storage bin is spacious enough for my laptop. The right one is only big enough for the remote control. The cupholders are a good size. Overall very happy with the purchase and the price was right.

Jury is still out

Like the size of the chair, but.............Returned 1st one due to inability to get the leg rest to lock into place when adjusting from reclining to sitting upright.
The 2nd one has a faulty massage unit. It runs for 2-3 minutes then stops completely while the small lights on the remote control switch from constant blue to a flickering blue.
I await a return call from the manufacturer in Mississippi as to why this is happening to a chair
that is just over 2 weeks in my possession. The remote unit (junk made in China?) also seems to be heating up as well.

Recline like a true boss ...

Chair is massive; well built, and extremely comfortable. Have owned it for only two months, so cannot speak about durability. However, have two little ones that give it a constant stress test. Have not used the massaging capabilities, as I have someone to do that for me.

I Love It

When I ordered 2 of these it had 5 stars review. Prior to mine being delivered two people gave it negative reviews which had me worried. The chairs I received both function great. The chair is huge, but very comfortable. It is a bit hard to close, but it is a big chair. I only have one minor issue with the chair, and that is the massage feature & remote control. The remote cord is very short, and it really is not that great of a massage. Good thing I did not order it for the massage feature. I am extremely happy with my purchase, and the sale price was great. Thus the reason I ordered two. Do not be afraid to purchase this item due to the negative feedback left by another person. I think they just got a bum chair. It happens with anything

Relax and unwind in style!

This is a very fantastic recliner. It sets the tone for what all massage recliners should look like and how they should perform. If you have an anniversary or a birthday coming up you should treat yourself to one of these and relax in style.

You left something off

This chair looks and feels great but it is hard to let out and in. It is almost impossible to close while sitting down. Its less than a year old I will try to get a refund because I/m totally disatisfied.

Hard to handle

This chair looks and feels beautiful. Once you sit in it and try to lower the leg&foot rest it becomes a struggle or battle. When raising the leg rest, the seat lowers and moves forward. As you try and lower the leg rest, you are forced to climb over the hump at the front of the seat and most of the time, you have to spread your legs, put feet on the floor and push the leg rest into down position with your foot. At 6' + and 280#'s and not a weakling, anyone smaller than myself will not be able to handle this chair. I am returning this purchase and shopping for a la-z-boy with Sears.

Comfortable, Mostly Well-Made, BUT will not stay closed

A very comfortable chair, seems to be made of high quality materials … BUT there appears to be a pretty serious design problem with the closing mechanism of the chair.

Purchased 2 chairs in early January 2012. One would not catch/stay closed from the start when lowering it back from the reclining position. Now the other chair has the same problem.

It was also very difficult to get a repair person out to even look at chair. Took several calls to both Sears and Simmons before someone would agree to take responsibility for warranty repair. Both companies kept directing us to call the other company to arrange for repair and giving us different #s to call. Finally reached someone at Sears who could help and scheduled the repair. Currently awaiting the repairmen to receive a part to fix the problem.

Regrettably, I cannot recommend purchasing this otherwise wonderful chair … unless you're okay either never opening it OR never plan to close it back from the reclining position. ;}
