So far so good

So far so good. Had one bolt of the six that hold rear section with the front that I could not start, but other than that assembly was easy enough by myself. Took about 3 to 4 hours while watching the ball game one Saturday. Smooth operation , quite, easy to read screen. Wish it came with Heart monitor, hand grips(heart monitor) aren't reliable. Work outs are good still learning all the features. Order came in quicker than stated on Sears web site I think they claimed 7-10 days actually arived in 3 or 4. Store pick-up was very easy and friendly. Box was not beat up like you see on many special order products.

Good machine for the price

I bought this elliptical for myself this year in early January. It's mid-March and I've put in over 1,000 minutes so far.

It took less than an hour to drag all the parts in from my van into the basement and about an hour to set up. I am an engineer though so maybe more disposed to understanding how these things might go together. I thought the engineering was good and very simplistic to do the connections.

I bought this machine so when I didn't get a chance to go to the gym, I would presumably still be able to get in a good workout. I typically use a PreCor at the gym and the first week of using this machine I was sore/tight and definitely getting a different workout than the PreCor machine, which I think is good. At the gym, I typically use one or two workouts on the elliptical and I've used several of the workouts on this machine. I think it's a great alternative to going to the gym.

You can't adjust the pedals on this model and I've notice my feet get tired after a while, which doesn't happen with the PreCor at the gym. So I need to move my feet around more. Not sure it would be worth buying the next model up to get this feature since it only happens after being on the machine over 30-minute stretches and I never do more than 45-minutes at a time.

I set the elliptical up on a mat so it doesn't move around while I'm on it. You do need to grease the skids where the steps go back & forth maybe once a week so that it doesn't make a squeaking noise. But a lot of machines need simple maintenance like this so I don't see this as a big deal/problem.

The only real thing I don't like is that the foam grips on the handles are porous and not smooth like the PreCor at the gym and therefore are not easy to feel like they are clean. I think they have gotten smelly from gripping them & trying to clean with water or a lysol wipe. I don't know the resolution to this except maybe tape over them with something that could be adequately wiped off or remove them.

I did not buy this product for the fan (which is barely larger than a laptop or computer fan and pretty ineffective) or the capability to stream music (use your iPod people) so I don't really see those as necessary features and personally would rather they not have been on there at all and the price have been less.

Given that it's under $1,000 and I've already used it over 1,000 minutes, I think it was well worth the investment. I wish I would have invested in one of these sooner.

This is a wonderful machine! 1 problem only!

I love my elliptical! The only drawback is that the wheel makes a clicking noise every time I use it.

The Sole E25 is strong, sturdy and quiet.

Picked it up yesterday. Moved that from my car to the exercise room with my son's help. Installation took over 5 hours doing it alone. Make sure you have plenty of space to set it up. Inst. #4 especially needs plenty of room to install the metal brackets and plastic covers. A cordless screwdriver will speed up some of the steps.

This unit is heavy but appears to be durable. After assembling I tried it for 10 minutes and it operated smoothly. Even the fan noise was not annoying. I am pleased with my choice of a Sole.
