I got this stereo about a year ago for my birthday, i really like it, it has nice treble but the only thing i dont like about it is it dont enough bass. i mean yeah it has a good amount. but if, like me, you like bass that could basically make your whole hous shake then this isnt the one for you. and it can get LOUD for how small it is compared to other systems. either way its still a really good deal for only100$. (and it looks pretty nice too)
I bought the Sony 3-Disc Mini Hi-Fi Component System, 130W to replace another 3-disc bookshelf system for our son's bedroom. The sound quality is excellent for a unit this size and has plenty of volume for use in a bedroom, den or dormitory. The only negatives I can think of are that you can't hook up an additional set of speakers and that the main unit is too deep to fit on most bookshelves; it measures 16" deep and requires a 6" clearance from the wall for ventilation which totals 22" front to back. Most bookshelves are only about 12" deep so you would need to have the bookshelf 10" inches from the wall and not have a back on it. So if you aren't planning on putting it on a bookshelf, no problem. Kmart's price was great and delivered the unit quickly and in perfect condition.
I got this for my husband to use in his shop. I gave it to him Christmas eve and at 3:00am Christmas morning I woke up only to find him out in the shop listening to his stereo! Terrific value and wonderful sound and the complact size makes it perfect for our needs. Great for anyone wanting a music system with full, rich sound without having to paying a small fortune.
