Sony PlayStation Move navigation controller - Move navigation controller - wireless

The wireless and untethered PlayStation Move navigation controller is a must-have for core gamers. This supplementary controller adds directional buttons, an analog stick, and two shoulder buttons into the PlayStation Move's control scheme. Used in most of the PlayStation Move games that require navigating an in-game character, it replicates the control features of the left side of the DualShock 3 wireless controller into your PlayStation Move experience. The navigation controller's analog stick (or directional buttons) allows for convenient XMB menu navigation, and the X button, O button and PS button make it simple to enter or exit any options of the XMB menu. In addition, the navigation controller contains the L1 button, L2 button and L3 button for actions and commands common in advanced gaming. Take your core experiences to new heights of realism and interaction with the PlayStation Move navigation controller.
 • Wireless control completely untethered from the PlayStation Move motion controller
 • Intuitive navigation of in-game characters
 • Easy and intuitive XMB menu navigation
 • Built-in rechargeable Lithium-ion battery
 • Charge the controller and automatically pair with the PS3 system via a USB cable
 • Up to two motion controllers and two navigation controllers can be connected at once to the PS3 system

Useful, but not necessary (for now)

The Playstation 3 Move Navigation controller is a fine piece of equipment. It is made out of traditional Sony black plastic and feels solid in your hand, the only bad thing is that there really are not too many games that make use of it right now. I have only used it for Heavy Rain thus far and it seemed to work just fine for what it is supposed to do. That alone does not justify the price tag right now, but hopefully in the future more games (first person shooters) will come out that utilize this little solid piece of technology.

free at last

Free at last from being tied to the PSP3 box. I can walk around, jump up and down...............it's like having a magic wand.

It's easy to use even just out of the box. I can recharge it just by hooking up to my PSP3. I'm still finding new button uses.

Only down side I can see is that there aren't a lot of games that I can use it with yet. I hope Sony makes more soon.

The PS Move Navigation controller is a must own

The Playstation Move Navigation controller is a secondary piece of hardware designed for use with the Move system. While the Dualshock 3 can be a substitute for the Nav controller, it isn't a really viable option for use. The benefit of using the Navigation controller is that like Move controller itself, it functions very similarly and has a great feel when in your hand. The controller has great build quality and feels very balanced in regards to weight. Generally, most people will only need to purchase one Navigation controller for most Move titles so that is a benefit. Also, the Navigation controller is a necessity when using the terrific PS Move Sharpshooter for playing games such as Killzone 3 and Resistance 3. Overall, any one owning a Move setup definitely has to have at least one Navigation controller in their collection.

Unique Sony Move gaming experience.

The Playstation Move Navigation Controller is definitely a unique experience, total wireless motion in conjunction with the Motion controller, makes the gaming experience out of this world. Though not a whole lot of games available to take advantage of the controllers, the potential is there for future enjoyable game releases.

whole lot of fun

while not vital to having fun with Move, it is a heck of alot more comfortable than the DualShock3 controller in my left hand. Plus side is the button locations and having x and o on the left hand now is a plus for even the most complicated games! Once again i must commend Sony for creating such a COMFORTABLE navigation controller. Thank you Sony :)

Ps3 Move Navigator may be "Not Required" but I say "Get It"

The nav controller is pretty much a dualshock controller rolled into one piece to fit in one hand. Everything is laid out nicely and it fits in your hand perfectly. Has the analog stick, x and o button, D-Pad, and the L1 and L2 buttons. The L2 feels nice as it has a little curve to it now, so your fingers don't slide off(I have never had that problem, just heard people complain before) It doesn't take nearly as long to charge compared to the motion controller. Does not come with a strap which I heard people complaining, but you don't swing it. There is no need to be moving it, so that why there's no strap. Been using it as i play Killzone 3, which i really love with the move. There's about 3 games out right now that you'll need this nav controller for, and more in the future. if you want to play Resident Evil 5, MAG, Killzone 3, Time Crisis or Heavy Rain, then I say go buy this. If not, just wait on it then. All in all, this is a great addition to the controllers and comes in handy.

You may come across a lot of people who say that you do not need this because you can just use your normal PS3 controller, but that is just a bit too awkward for me to hold with one hand and still be able to concentrate only on the game.

Now, pair this up with the new Sony Sharpshooter gun peripheral for a whole new experience into the First Person Shooter style games!

Good product BUT not completely necessary

You can still get away with not buying this for the Move games. You can just use the Sixaxis/Dual shock for your left hand, it may be heavy but still usable, this is neat though, good build of course. I would say get it if you can get it on sale.

Navigation much appreciated

The navigation controller is a must have for anyone planning to play shooters using the Move system. The product is essential due to the regular controller layout. If using te move with a regular controller you have to try and keep your hand only on the left side of the controller and work the move controller at the same time. With the navigation controller and it's ergonomic design you don't have to worry about any potential slip-ups during game play.

Questionable

A lot of people compare the ps move to the wii and say it's the wii HD. Likewise they compare the navigation controller to the nun-chuck. The nun-chuck has a 3 axis accelerometer in it. There is no mention of one in the navigation controller. I supposed this is why one needs two moves to get the full experience in some games. It would be nice if Sony would put an accelerometer in the game so that a single player would not need two moves.
