I bought this because it was inexpensive. Got what I paid for.
My boyfriend and I received this GPS as a gift for the holidays. First off, we have never heard of this brand. We would expect a TomTom, Magellan, or Garmin GPS, since all of those brands are known and reliable. But, instead, we got this. When changing the voice, we tapped one after hearing another and the screen froze. We couldn't tap on any other options and had to force a shutdown on the system (on more than one occasion). When using the GPS, I nearly missed a turn going 45mph on a busy road because the system decided to tell me to "Turn Now", rather than informing me ahead of time. I have personally used a TomTom and a Garmin and both systems displayed the next turn that I would have to make. That way, I knew which lane I had to be in and I was ready. When using the Sylvania, I had to watch the map to see where I had to turn, and even then, the map was slow, so the target seemed farther away causing me to slam on the brakes to turn at the right point. And, finally, the GPS comes with the "capability" to upload music, movies, and pictures to the system. The moment those files reached the GPS through the USB cable, the entire system froze and the unit was no longer usable. There is my story. If you are willing to spend a hundred dollars on this GPS, then you might as well go to ******** or any other store and purchase any other system (which I can guarantee is of better quality) for an equal amount of money or less.

I bought this GPS because it was on sale, not expecting much from it. It is able to get me around Lawrence and Kansas City with relative ease. It gives an accurate destination arrival time, the current speed at which you are traveling, and it usually recalculates well if you make a wrong turn. The main problems I have are with looking up destinations. I can usually find them in the database if I search for a while, but it does take time. This GPS works better if you already have an address and just need a route. The other problem is that it doesn't tell you which way to turn until you are within a mile of turning. It is only a real problem if you are on crowded city streets and can't get into the correct lane on time. Overall, I am VERY impressed with this simple, cheap GPS. Great for everyday use, or on longer trips.
