I've been using this laundry detergent for many years and it works very well on all types of fabric, in every type of cycle. It is good for stains, and works in cold water just as efficiently as in warm, disolving completely, producing low suds with superior cleaning and no noticeable fabric color fading. My washer/dryer are Maytag's Neptune front loading high capacity line. I can tell that the rinse cycles produce clear water without remaining soap residue. Comparing this product to Tide's HE, I calculate that Sears Advanced Formula Plus HE comes out costing me half the price per load. A little goes a long way. That's good for me, and good for the environment.

After extensive problems with our sewer backing up, we became aware that most powder detergents have 'filler' (ground up animal bones etc) in them which can settle in the sewer lines and eventually block them. The plumber said that Sears & Amway are of the few companies who do not add filler. He also told us that the first several loads of laundry we would wash with new detergent would loosen the grime in the washer from former detergent, so we should only wash dark items until the washer is free of grime. This has worked well for me. He also reported that even liquid detergents have filler in them.

FADED CLOTHES AND RUINED THEM!!!

This detergent stained my clothes and faded dark colored clothes, essentially ruining most of my wardrobe and my children's clothes. This is a very harsh detergent, for use in hotels and stuff, not for normal clothes. don't believe the box saying it protects colors, it doesn't. I even tried using half the amount required and made no difference. the other reviews had it right. I returned half a box.

works very well and gets all of my clothes clean....married, 2 kids and 4 animals...I use a little more than recommended, but has lasted 6 months now...very worth the money.  I bought it on a daily deal just to try and am ordering more...love it

Works great- The Low Suds is a PLUS in an HE washer

I have been using it for three weeks now, it works just as good as Tide which I was using directly before this. I use 1 level scoop in a full load in my HE Front Loader and that is plenty. You can't expect even Tide to take out oil and ketchup just by throwing it in the same washer as your clothes even on wam or high temp. Not sure what people expect out of laundry detergent !     

Excellent for "HE" Washing Machines

I've used the Sears Ultra Plus HE Detergent now for several years.  It's awesome and does exactly what its supposed to for High Efficiency Machines, which is NOT to have excessive suds.  For those who write negative comments about not enough suds, perhaps they don't have the "HE" machines and are not used to low surfactant detergents. This detergent is formulated to clean very well without excessive suds as per the manufacturers' specs for the High Efficiencey machines, or any other washing machine as well.  We just can't believe how well this detergent cleans with so little amount in our HE washing machine.

about as good as water alone

using a full cup we noticed that there was not much cleaning ability from the soap, we feel that warm water alone would do as well. the soap did not take out any stains; butter, olive oil, ketchup, mustard...my work clothes were embarassing to wear, just not clean. we bought two big boexes when on sale at sears - so the price seemed right...but this product i would not take again even if free. 

it is to us a pure waste of money. we had far better esults from generic product from bigblock stores and supermarkets, esp smartfinal.

Very Good Laundry Detergent

I have been using this laundry detergent for years, I like it very much cleans the clothes well with a very small amount of powder. This detergent last me along time., and I would recommend this detergent to others.

Not much suds

For the people that say it will not suds up. The suds is not what makes the cloths get clean. That is just an additive that causes it to suds up. I would rather not have a lot of suds in my soap. If there is too much suds, it does not all get rinsed out and makes the clothes look dull.
