Vivitar Digital Video Recorder- Black

Very Disappointing

I bought this a couple of hours ago and was surprised by how hallow and lightweight it felt to hold. I took several pictures and short videos indoors at night with normal lighting and all images turned out dark. It has a LED on the front which I thought was a flash, but it is not. Adjusting the light settings through the menu did not help. I am taking this back ASAP.

The Vivitar Digital Video Recorder is Better Than Expected

My son is very active in extreme sports, especially skateboarding, and has been wanting a digital video recorder to record clips of himself and his friends to send to potential sponsors, as well as to upload to online sites, and of course, YouTube.  The Vivitar Digital Video Recorder meets his needs much better than expected!  With him being a typical teenager, I didn't want to spend a ton of money for a video recorder that could be easily broken, lost or stolen, so when I found the Vivitar at KMart, at a price I could afford for his use, I jumped on it.  We all thought it would be great for fun, but honestly weren't expecting very high quality.  We agreed that I would use my, more expensive, video recorder for the important shots and videos, and he could use the Vivitar for everyday use, carrying it with him to school and the skate park.  We were immediately surprised when he showed us his first videos he uploaded to the computer!  The quality rivals that of many higher priced recorders!  This video recorder also has software and the necessary cords included to make uploading simple enough for non-technical users to easily do the necessary tasks.

I would definitely recommend this video recorder for anyone needing a lower price, but still wanting a good quality product.
