The Combo bench was not hard to build after a bout an hour it was all together and we was ready to use it.. only had one problem one of the weights that comes with the set does not fit the poles 45 mins on hold to get it replaced then was disconnected, recalled 3 times same problem...
I am disappointed that this bench and weight set combo is cheaply made. Weider used to be a leader in the field but based on this set they are churning out junk. The collars to stop the weights from slipping take maximum effort to pinch them wide enough so they will slide over the bar making changing the weights a big chore. I bought a very similar set from Proform which was better built and definitely more stable due to its greater width.
I like the way its small and compact, and fits into my bedroom, readily available to use.
I like the bench for the beginner level and can handle and adult also.

This is very good for 100$ price. This is good for lean teenagers. Not for fat adults.

Pictures of the weight bench appears to be an Olympic type weight bench.
Put it together (Not bad to follow instructions and put together) but it's not for an adult.
Our newly freshman son, after his first week in high school football training demanded he needed a weight bench. Shopped around and came across this Weider Pro 250 and for him, I'm hoping it will last a season because the bench bar is too narrow for an adult and he's almost outgrown it.
The Weider Pro 256 Combo Weight Bench, is a good product for anyone beginning a workout regiment, however, it has its drawbacks for anyone who is looking to do more than just, "dabble."
The product is relatively simple to put together, although mine was missing a minor part which made completion impossible.
It is aesthetically appealing and if you have two able individuals working on it, it is a fairly sturdy product.
The bench does not have a high weight capacity and the pieces that hold the bar in place are very close together, so you really cannot use that much weight on it. The entire structure is very shaky when you bench more than 170 pounds or so.
All things considered, it is a solid item for a beginner and yes, statistically, that probably means you, the reader.
For anyone with a daily workout routine this machine is a 2, for the average person experimenting with exercise and playing X-Box the rest of the time, it is a solid 4 - 4.5. Overall, it is a 3.
THIS IS A GREAT WEIGHT BENCH. I USED THIS ONE FOR A WHILE THAT BELONGED TO MY ROOMATE. WHEN HE MOVED OUT, I WENT TO SEARS AND BOUGHT ME ONE. I ALSO BOUGHT THE WEIDER WEIGHT BAR, TWO 25LB WEIGHTS, AND A WEIDER SIT UP BENCH. AWESOME EQUIPTMENT AT AN AWESOMEPRICE!
