Quality range without breaking the bank.

Fanally upgraded from a coil range to this one and been pleasantly impressed. Heats up way quicker than my old range and a hell lot easier to clean. The only thing we don't like about it is the bottom drawer as it keeps getting sideways and doesn't shut properly, but we hardly ever use it.

Accubake Glass Cooktop Safety Issue

I bought a Whirlpool Accubake Electric Range with glass cooktop in 2008. After only two years of use, the glass cooktop has begun to spall, throwing off dime sized chips of glass from the cooktop surface all around one of the dual zone burners, creating a safety hazard for the user and any children who may be in the area at eye level. Both Sears and Whirlpool refused to repair the cooktop without charge because the one year warranty had expired. Buy an Accubake if you want a range that may last only two years!

Beautiful and great product!

I love my new stove, it heats up so very quick and is so beautiful! The only draw back is that it is hard to keep the top nice it gets smears after cooking on it and they are not easily removed. Other than that it is a great stove and oven!

Whirlpool 36" freestanding range Rocks!

This range is awesome and does not contain all the frills and thrills that are going to give you problems down the road and cost a fortune to fix. I had a state of the art 6 burner stove before and never used any of the frills... The stainless steel showed all your finger marks and dust and skin oils. Just a nuisance. I bake all the time and cook meals everyday and I love this range. It has everything that is important like the self cleaning oven, timer etc. A nice large interior oven for a huge turkey etc. and a big front window with a light in the oven. I love it... 5 stars from me and saved a bunch of bucks buying this one too to boot.

Good product but needs better manual.

I just purchased this particular range mainly because of the features it has. The only problem I see that needs to be addressed is it could have a more understanding manual for this particular model only. When you read the manual it is hard to figure out which thing is for this model and the features only show an upgraded model with more buttons. It does take longer to boil water than our previous Whirlpool range that was about 16 years old. I'm not sure about the automatic on off feature of the burners when heating up. Maybe that's why it takes longer to do the above. I do like the Big window on the oven door to see how things look inside. Overall it is a good range so far. I haven't had it long enough to know how good it is going to be. Like I said earlier it needs a manual just for this model only.
