Duet Washer and Dryer are disappointing...

I purchased the Whirlpool Duet washer and Dryers a couple of years ago. The washer ties my husbands pants in knots and the gasket is constantly moldy, requiring bleaching to clean so the entire room doesn't stink. The dryer sucks. The felt gasket in the back of the dryer causes ugly brown hash marks on everything. I turn all my clothing inside out to avoid getting marks on the outside of our good clothes, but you can even these awful marks through fine whites. My good sheets and pillowcases all have these hash marks on them. I try running very small loads in the dryer to minimize the number of marks, still no telling where they will show up. $300 for a new set of sheets for my guest room and brown hash marks, beyond frustrating! I tried everything to get these out... toothbrush and oxy clean, 30 minutes of scrubbing and still they are there. My good white clothes are ruined. Thanks Whirlpool!

excellent

I bought this electric dryer as a set with the washer. It did not come with the cord so I had to purchase one, it did not come with anything that is needed to let the hot air outside your house. we had ours since january 2013 and it has been a year and half and we don't have any problems with it....
we are very happy....thanks sears...
for the price and brand we could not find it cheaper anywhere else.

BOO!!!! bad quality.

I have never ever writen a review on anything, but this hunk of expensive junk has inspired me to do so. It's important to warn others about the poor quality of this machine. Less than a year after the purchase, I noticed a small leak coming from the bottom of the door. Just yesterday I went to put a load from the washer to the dryer and as soon as I opened the door, the whole rubber seal was sagging and torn and completely off. The was a metal ring that held the rubber seal in the clothes. Upon inspection of the clothes, my husband's sock was totally ripped in half. I googled "rubber seal whirlpool duet" and found that this problem is not new, nor is whirlpool not aware of it. I read others have complained and it falls upon deaf ears. I called to see if this washer has been recalled and it hasn't. I WILL NEVER EVER BUY A WHIRLPOOL PRODUCT AGAIN!

Good, easy to use, efficient, fast and well-made dryer!

Bought this dryer with the matching washer as, they're stackable & i have a small laundry closet that won't fit two side-by-sides. So far, the dryer looks like a great pick. It's quiet, appears to be well made, easy to operate and FAST! dried a normal, full-load, with 3 pairs of jeans in about 22 minutes! So far, I love it & so does my girlfriend.
