Description
The Whirlpool Gold GGE388LXS double-oven range, with 6.7 cubic feet of combined capacity, has the most oven space available on any freestanding range (among leading brands, based on combined capacity of both ovens). The upper oven is 2.5 cu. ft., and the lower is 4.2 cu. ft. The range is equipped with Whirlpool's 6th Sense™ Technology, which monitors the oven's functions and helps manage all components of the oven from cleaning to cooking
The cooktop on the electric 30-in. stainless-steel Whirlpool Gold GGE388LX range is equipped with a 6-in./9-in. dual element, so you can adjust the heated area to the pan size. And the warm zone element also provides added flexibility to keep foods warm.

The Whirlpool Gold 30" dbl oven elec range is a must have!

PROs:This range is a great compromise when installing wall ovens are not possible, or in the budget. I love that I can use the top oven for pizzas and quick baking/heating meals for our family of four. I also now have room to bake poultry, fish, and a couple casseroles all at the same time, reducing the time I spend in the kitchen on dinner!!CONs:The cooktop is a dust magnet, and I find myself constantly cleaning lint, etc off the top... could be because it's black that this is more noticeable.

Not very durable

The WG brand has not been very good for us overall, including this range. With the $$$ spent I was expecting more. the Glass top scratches way too easily. This is an average looking range and while it works at times it cooks unevenly. We have upgraded to brand now ...WG though still works though. Besides the problems above it still warms food well and bakes evenly. So though not one of our favorites - it still works.

Just what I need!

This is great when cooking for the holidays. I can cook dinner in half the time. My grandmother always had this style of oven and now I know why.

Definitely reccommend

Love this oven! The hardest thing I've found about it is pushing the button for the timer minutes and even that is not difficult.

Great product!

I love this double oven range. I use the top oven to cook small meals on a daily basis and both ovens for holidays or when cooking larger family meals. The glass cooktop is amazing also as it heats up very quickly and cooks evenly.

Great range, but scratches easily.

We have had the range about 2 months now and have used it a couple of dozen times. The balck painted metal trim around the stove top is already scrathed down to the metal with only minimal contact. Also, the surface of the stovetop has many scratches despite such light use.Also, it doesn't quite go flush against the wall due to the design of the back.

So far we really are happy with this oven.

We bought it after the kids left for college and use the top one most of the time for just the two of us, but the double comes in very handy when everyone is home and cooking for leftovers at college.

Excellent preheat times, Lovely design

I love everything about this oven. The only thing I would have a complaint about, and its just my personal issue, is that it is somewhat hard to lean over to use the bottom oven. This should have been obvious to me when I bought it, but I never thought about it. But it's really not much of an issue since I use the top oven the majority of the time. I LOVE how fast the top oven preheats!!!! I only take 3.5 minutes to preheat to 350 degrees! Its amazing! I love the layout of the controls. And the entire stove is beautiful! Totally recommend this oven to everyone!

my first new stove/oven - love how it looks

we had new wiring installed for the stove, however midway through most meals, it will flash some numbers, then the power quits. In order for me to keep cooking, I have to pull the stove away from the wall, pull out the electric plug, and plug it in again.

overall an excellent buy for the money

The range has performed really well. I would recommend it to all my friends and family. The only feature that could be better is the length and low sound level of the timer and the preheat buzzer. The ovens cook really well and preheat very fast. Timer could be easier to set.

Both ovens, easy to clean and heats quickly.

We were looking for a conventional stove of lesser price. My wife noticed the Whirlpool with two ovens. She cooks for our family often. The two ovens makes cooking and baking much quicker. We made a good investment in this product.Very attractive stove.

Love the double oven feature

I love this oven. The only challenge is when I pulled out something from the top, it dripped below into the bottom oven window/glass. Now I have a drip mark in between the glass and am not able to clean it.

A True Energy Saver

We are very satisfied with this product. We had a Whirlpool Glass top electric range for 12 years, and recently purchased this new "Double Oven". The "Top Oven" is used more than 80% of the time. Over the 3 month period we have used the "Lower (large) Oven" twice for cooking. Both ovens allow you to "Hold Warm". With all of these options, your cooking experience is "Greatly Enhanced"! Also, your kitchen area remains cooler when using the "Top Oven". Thanks Whirlpool!

This range/double oven has great features

My double oven range is wonderful, you can do everything you need at one time. Cook a roast in large oven, bake a dessert in the smaller oven, and prepare vegetables etc on the range top. Would buy another the next time I need a new range/oven.

This product has sleek, smart lines

Although my GE Profile stove was only three years old, I was almost happy that a candle fell on top of the cooktop and broke it. I had a Maytag double oven around 15 years ago and loved it; although I sold it with my house 5 years ago. I love the sleek modern look of my Whirlpool double-oven stove; the toaster feature; and many other feaatures. I was able to store my counter top toaster-oven and it gave me much more room on my counter. Love it, love it, love it!!
