Had this mower for years and works great. I am very suprised at the quality for what I paid. I have an average size lawn that is fairly easy to mow and because its so light it feels all most as easy as a self propelled mower to use.
So far it's been a great mower.Price was great also.
The product arived in good condition, was easy to set up, started right off the bat. However the front whells were set so that it scraped the ground and nobody can get them loosened to adjust it. We will have to take it to a repair shop just to get the wheels properly adjusted. Why they were not in the middle, so they could be adjusted either up or down?
Easy to put together, easy to start and it does exactly what it's supposed to do! Have a socket available though, those front wheels are a booger to get off and you'll want to tighten the rear ones once you get them assembled. Overall, I'm quite happy with my purchase.
I agree with others that this is a great mower for the price and don't have a lot to add that has not been said. The only issue is that I have very thick grass and the mower will bog down or stall at times. It almost seems it has a tendancy to over mulch but if you cut more often it should not be an issue.
This mower sports a plastic front so I fear if it breaks the front tires will not work as they are connected to the plastic.
Also, To change the height of the grass cutting level you have to actually get a wrench and unscrew the tires and move them to the desired (hole) level. This is very annoying in respect to other mowers where you can just move them in a few seconds.
Cuts decent and runs well. For the money it isn't a horrible buy.
Unfortunately I have to give this product a two thumbs DOWN. My husband and I bought this mower a couple of weeks ago and are already having problems with it. It has become hard to start cuts off several times before staying running and idles hard when it does finally get going. It will be going back to Sears as soon as my husband comes off his night shift!
Very simple and inexpensive. Needed a basic model to cut in around trees and landscaping. Front wheels are not adjustable, which caused a problem the first time when the grass was tall. The mower would only cut the tall grass if pulled because the front was too low. Overall it meets my expectations for the price/value.
Well All I can Say is it is a Lawn Mower and it does cut Grass. It is a no frills model, to adjust the wheels to different heights you literally have to take them off of the Mower and put them back on in different holes. But the Engine runs smooth and it does cut the grass just fine, so if you are on a budget like I am it runs great.
We purchased this new push mower for hard-to-get places in our yard that cannot be done with a riding mower (such as our ditch). We have found that this push mower from Sears is just what we need and is easy to use. Also, as we were choosing a mower, we had very courteous and helpful service by the Sears staff, which is much appreciated.
