AFG 7.1AT Quality Machine!

Purchased today. After researching went to the sears to try all the display models there. The AFG7.1 stood apart from the rest, it is superior in many ways! Smooth and quiet operation. Has a very solid feel to it. Update to follow.

repaired three times

the first repair was the replacement of the incline motor. the second repair was the arm assembly because you received a shook when you checked your heart rate and the third rep[air is because the arm replacement did not work and a new one was ordered

If at first you fail, try, try again...

The first time installation did not go well. The treadmill actually did not work. The installation crew(I paid for them separately) did not make sure it was running(I did not make sure too. I just saw the lights blinking on the console and asked them if they would show how to operate the treadmill and they said they do not do that). I had to call a lot of numbers and got the run around(customer service to technical support to installation and delivery people to another technical etc) and finally they easily agreed to take this one back and bring a new one; which they did after one week and this time it worked.

Solid, well-built treadmill

|

Absolutely sturdy and well built treadmill. Most solid walking board I have ever seen. I am comfortable running on this at any speed and any incline, without any sort of vibrations or instability. It is also amazingly quiet as well.

Upset-Customer

Was less than we expected

|

We assembled the treadmill this weekend and it took an extra four hours due to having to die chase some of the holes that were not properly tapped. Then had to reseat some pins in the electrical connectors that were not completely set in the housings when we found the switches did not work. Once we got everything working we connected it to the TV and were quite let down that the video was not timed to the workout speed. We though that the video would have represented the workout instead of just a boring graphic display of landscape. After using x-box and other systems in our workout routine, we just had our hopes set too high on this product. We bought this to replace a Nordic Track C1500, also purchased at Sears, that went bad after 18 months and ICON made it so hard to get it fixed under warrantee, we just gave up. Sears made no effort to help. A good lesson is to purchase exercise equipment from a company that provides good technical support.
