I saw the infomercial for this product and it looked like something very useful. I am limited on kitchen/countertop space and a blender is very bulky and a pain to use. Plus, I like smoothies and coffee drinks. It looked perfect for me. I read online reviews and there was about half negative and half positive. I was confused whether or not I should buy it. My local TV station did a consumer product test on it and they said it was a great product. After thinking about it, and finding the product at my local Walgreens store, I decided to "bite the bullet" and buy the bullet. Haha. I tried about 5 recipes from the booklet (after I read the ENTIRE instruction/recipe book) and I was very impressed with it. I think that the negative reviews are from those people who "do" first and read directions later. This is not a typical blender and should not be operated as one. I used the shake technique to get big pieces down to be mixed up and it worked fine. For all of you who are contemplating buyi
I received this item as a gift. It works great only for dry items. It is absolutely horrible for juicing. I make fresh vegetable juices every day and after 3 months, the motor base leaks horribly. I do not know what is wrong with it. It took me several months before using it because I was so overwhelmed with all the parts. Well it is outside of warranty now. I will only use it for dry ingredients. I had to buy another blender and I hope it works better than this one.
My first Bullet was given a gift. I didn't read the manual and burnt it up by leaving it run too long. It really purees food quickly, and book says not to run longer than one minute at a time. So stop wait a few seconds then run again if you are using frozen fruit and want to be sure all the lumps are out. I use mine to make healthy delicious smoothies with way less sugar than the ones you buy. BJ's has large bags of frozen mixed fruits for $12. Peaches, raspberries, mango & pineapple is already sweet. Add a dash of honey or cherry concentrate. Can add your super fruit powders, aloe vera juice, coconut oil, flax seed oil, yogurt and more for extra health benefits. One of the best gifts I've ever receive. So I bought myself another!!!
