I purchased these because I had to do work in my yard and it is muddy. They are too narrow in the calf and were difficult to pull on. I have worn them once for a few hours digging up Japanese knot weed in my back yard. I wore knee high socks, so they did not rub under my knees. They still rubbed and were too tight. The foot area was somewhat tight also. I could have returned them but I did not want to bother. I ordered two pair, one for myself and a relative. They were two tight in the calves for my relative also. We are both about 30 pounds overweight. If we were both skinny and had smaller legs, they would not be so tight. I recommend these only for women that would weigh about 100 to 113 pounds and have skinny legs. Also one size larger so they are not tight in the feet. I take a 7.5 and I ordered a 8 because there was not a half size. The were a little tight in the feet, especially on the front of the ankle. The size 7 I ordered for my relative was too tight, she takes 6.5. Order a one size larger. If you are 7.5, order a 9 as they do not have 8.5. Wear more than one pair of socks. I always wear a size 9 winter boot for multiple pairs of socks. My relative will take the size 8 I ordered in this rain boot. Perhaps they will fit better for her. I ordered a size 9 rain boot somewhere else. I hate ordering foot wear online because I cannot try them on first. I have no car and the kmart in my area is too far to walk to. In the future I will not order boots online again. I need to try them on first. Size does not mean anything. Sizes are not all the same with different brands.
