Nice Length on a Tall Person

This jacket does provide more warmth due to the longer length but unless you are tall, it is an overpowering style on a shorter-framed person. It's also very difficult to zip up because the flap behind the zipper is too short to lay behind the zipper as you are reaching to the bottom hem to pull it up. When the jacket scrunches, the zipper catches on the short piece behind the zipper, which is the main reason I can't recommend it. Similarly, the arm lengths are also a bit too long although not horribly so (I've seen worse). In terms of styling, I wish they had quilted it vertically or in a diamond-quilt pattern. The horizontal "stacked quilts" in a coat this puffy are sadly reminiscent of a cartoon character that's used to advertise a well-known car tire brand. In short, it looks great on the model in the picture — and with the belt it has potential to flatter a taller person's figure in a similar way — but the style just wasn't good on me. On a related note, what I've found is that this year's coats all run small compared to the same-brand clothes. I made the mistake of shopping for coats on Black Friday week and another Attention-brand coat I ordered in my regular size didn't fit, whereas the coat I ordered a size up (this style) did. Problem is, I want the other style, which has a shorter hem length, but Sears won't allow Black Friday week online purchases to be exchanged. (This I know because I spent 40 minutes on a chat going nowhere with an agent about why I should be able to exchange the coat for the correct size but they said their policy is not to price match for wrong-size orders/exchanges.) So word to the wise: Either buy two sizes and take the one that doesn't fit back or buy a size up. Better yet, shop in a store because the Sears agent said that if I had lived closer to a store I could kept my Black Friday price!

Great

This coat is great. It is soft, warm and great fitting. It comes down to my knees which is where I was hoping it would. Great coat at a great price.

Happy to be Wrong

Was skeptical when I bought this coat but was pleasantly surprised that it does an amazing job. Reaches right at my knees, true to size and extremely warm. You will not be disappointed.
