Bigger than it looks

This set is perfect for anyone who is looking for something affordable, and still entertaining. My kids are 3 and 7, and both enjoy this set. The slide is nice and long, and the clubhouse part is big enough for both kids to sit comfortably. Pros: I'm a single mom and I was able to put this swing set together myself in less than 3 days. The instructions are very clear and precise, with step by step instructions and diagrams to go with it. It doesn't take up a lot of space in the yard, but still has a lot to do and play on. The whole thing comes in one box, so you don't have to worry about anything being lost or mis-shipped. Cons: It has about a million screws. Before you dig in and start assembling, find something you can keep them in, that you can also keep beside you as you go, so that nothing falls out into the grass. My grass is pretty thick, even in the winter, so once something fell, it was hard to find it again. The slide is not pre-assembled. You're going to need someone to help you get it in the grooves of those green pieces or else you'll drive yourself crazy. My daughter helped, and it was much easier. *Please pay attention to your boards. The large end boards you lay on the ground are nearly identical, but they're not. If you have them on wrong, you'll have to re-do the whole section* You'll need a drill with heads and with bits, a ratchet screwdriver, a level, extra screws never hurt, and a hammer. The set comes with some helpful hardware, but not everything. Overall, very easy to do, just takes a little time. I highly recommend this set for the price.

Disappointed in the longevity

We purchased this item last summer for your son. It was a pain to put together as some of the predrilled holes were missing causing the very thin boards to split in some areas. The wood/finish did not last as well as we had hoped over the winter. The wood has started splintering and our kids have to be careful. The finish is worn off in high traffic areas. The bench rotted in one winter. I would suggest maybe clear coating the wood to help protect it. I typically wait to write reviews for at least a year to ensure the product holds up and unfortunately this one did not. I would not recommend this swing set.

Thanks for NOTHING Sears

I ordered this on March 15th. Paid in full for the item and delivery. Was called 3/25 and told the item would be delivered 3/26 as promised. Never showed up. Called, used online support, called again. Sears had no idea where the item was. Finally last Friday, 3/29, they said the item was located at the Kmart distribution center and they would make sure it was delivered. Now today I am told, after I had to call myself to follow up, that the item is sold out. Now I get to wait 3-5 days for a refund. I was happy to order something from Sears, now I'm just happy that their entire business is collapsing. Way to treat people Sears. No wonder.

Piece of junk

I’ve only had this for 3 months and it’s falling apart. I tried to get a replacement but since I put it together they wouldn’t replace or refund
