I got this for my grandson who is turning 3 and wanted a machine that was big enough with enough power for him to use it for a few years. This one is exactly what I was after and the remote control option is very cool to have. With the 12 volt battery and dual motors (one for each rear wheel) this has plenty of power to move him about the yard.
One thing of note that will save you a few minutes of head scratching; the instructions are not by a "English is my first language" writer. It says there are 8 "gaskets" included in with the hardware but what it means is that there are 8 washers. Also the installation of the side braces (first step) aren't real clear, you have to align the outside edge to the mounting bosses and get them seated before you can screw them in.
Overall it is well built and I'm very happy with it as is my grandson.
I bought this ride on for my grandson who was turning a year old.
He loves it and the parent controls were easy to use. Very sturdy and easy to assemble.
