Didn't know what I was missing. I had F1's on my Challenger SRT which were ok at best. Once it came time for new ones I looked at a ton of different tires. I saw these were available in my size 295/45/20 and were exactly what I was looking for. A sporty daily driver tire. My car is 4400 lbs but with these on it feels completely different now, traction is great and I no longer get that squeal coming off the ramp from the highway. I have a stiff suspension and with these I barley feel the bumps now. And take off from stop and from 40mph roll is instant. Great grip. I only have a couple hundred miles on these so far but I'm extremely pleased, hope they last me a while for wear-life.
These tires may be great in the rain and the price was right but I would never buy them again and I strongly recommend you avoid them unless you don't mind extremely loud noises. I have a Lexus which has very good sound deafing insulation however that all changed when these tires were installed. I took it to the shop because I thought my transmission was going up or maybe a had a bearing wearing out. Nope just cheap tire noise. It didn't show up immediately but about 2 weeks into the tires. Don't buy these tires unless you want to live with your radio cranked up to 10 at all times!!
I bought my MK7 GTI with these tires installed on it. The car had even more of an aggressive look with the tires installed. The car handled my first torrential summer storm on I-5 without any hydroplaning, or wavering. The following winter, the 2-3 inches of occasional snow, the car handled well with early commutes to work. I love driving the mountain passes with these tires, as the car seems to literally stick to the road at freeway speeds and corners. Confidence inspiring tires, and will definitely purchase again!
I bought this tire in November 2017 after reviewing the positive ratings given by Consumer Reports. It was the only top-rated all-season ultra high performance tire that was given an above average rating for snow and ice without much compromise in dry/wet handling and braking. The snow we had in New Jersey on 11/15/2018 (drove through areas with snow ranging from 2 to 5 inches) was no problem for me to make the drive home in a 2014 Scion FR-S (~2,800 pound rear-wheel drive vehicle). It has been great three seasons thus far and winter has not been a problem thus far.
Definitely sticks to the road very well. Even with cold Temps. I haven't put it through snow yet. The side wall look doesn't bother me at all. Looks pretty cool if anything. The price was right for sure.
We installed on my Daughters Infinity G35x 5 years ago.Handles like a go cart. Rain , sticks like glue on exit ramps. Never Hydro-planed. Handles well in the snow. I just installed on my sons Lincoln LS Ultimate with a 3.9 Liter V-8 300hp. I will update, as this is a rear wheel drive only automobile. Can not beat the price for the performance,I Research , Research and then I Research before I buy anything. These tires are EXCELLENT. 1-10 stars Strong 9.5 Wet- Rain- Dry 10 -Snow 8.5 , Ice and Sleet. Nothing is good on Ice.Though these hold. 8.0
Love everything this tire can do, but why make the sidewalls look like an off-road truck tire? We ran the earlier version of these tires on my son's 2004 Grand Am GT 2 door and while they never came close to getting the claimed mileage, the parental peace of mind was worth it. The tires were superb in ALL
conditions! Now, due to his growing family, we have his GT and it was a no-brainer as to what tires went back on it. My wife has a 140 mile commute everyday thru every kind of weather (Nebraska) and they always get her home safely. Just don't look at them.
