I've always regarded cordless screwdriver as a pathetic device. I've got an 18V cordless drill and impact driver. Why would I need such a low-torque, low power, non-replaceable battery device? After years of happily using my cordless tools at home, I finally found a purpose, my backpack. I work as a company employee in a union facility. I need something lightweight yet powerful enough to open an electrical panel with a dozen bolts torqued down tight. I can't afford to keep my nice tools at work, nor can I lug them back and forth. No, this little screwdriver fills that void. The three-position handle accommodates tight spaces and varying demands. The magnetic bit chuck saw enough strength to keep my bit from falling out, yet lets you quickly swap out bits. It has one speed, forward and backward drive, and locked mode for when you need to put the elbow grease on a fastener. It had an odd proprietary power connection and a lightweight charging transformer. There's no hokster or case though that would have been nice. It doesn't have a trigger, rather a combination direction switch and drive button. The lock mode is on a collar around the chuck. It comes with a Philips and a flat bit, though again no way to carry them with it. I bought a cheap Craftsman nut driver bit set and traded out the less common bits for space for the screwdriver bits. All in all, it's worked great for me. Saved me considerable time and muscle fatigue. I'd recommend it to the average fella that needs the occasional power driver but doesn't have a reasonable need to buy construction-grade power tools.
I ordered the Black and Decker Li2000 three position screwdriver and received this non-adjustable product instead. This review is not a bad one for the product; it's a critique of Sears ordering and customer service processes, I returned this product and bought the Li2000 from a competitor.
It is the perfect size to fit my small hands.....holds charge and easy to use.
i wanted this driver for my scrapbook room. but my husband has used it on cabinets just need to keep it charged
