This was easy to assemble, although it did take me 5 hours the direction was easy to follow step by step. I set this up by myself using the tools that was supplied in the package and took my time. Be patient! I suggest when taking it out of the box take the parts out and separate to better organize yourself for working space. As far as the Trio Trainer watch the video if you are a novice to learn how to use this, otherwise very easy to use and I am happy with my Trio Trainer.
I was really excited about this item, but it worked for less than 15 minutes. I ran 10 minutes one day just to test it out, and then the next day within 5 minutes it started thumping inside the case. It sounds like maybe the belt slipped. Sears offered to send someone out to look at it (great!) but when they realized it was Body Flex they said something about not being licensed to service Body Flex equipment and the manufacturer would. Body Flex and their warranty were useless - they'll replace parts, but they don't service the machine so unless you can diagnose the problem yourself or pay someone to look at it those 'free' replacement parts are useless. The woman I spoke with at Body Flex agreed it was probably the belt and if *I* wanted to open it up I could, but she was kind enough to warn me that would void any option to return it to the store. I really felt at that point I had no choice but to return an already-built machine to the store. Believe me, getting it into the car was no fun task. Sears was good about the return, but I'm disappointed all around because this was obviously a defective piece of equipment and it was on me to either pay to have it serviced or get it back to the store. I could see if I had it a while, but it was less than a week old and used for less than 15 minutes. I'm guessing mine was a dud, but no way am I trusting anything by Body Flex again.
We bought this machine yesterday at Sears. It took about 2 hours to assemble it. Easy assembly but too long. Last night after using for a while my husband noticed the computer stopped working and started beeping, and the screen started blinking and displaying message "E1" on it. He unplugged the machine from the power outlet and plugged it back to reset the computer. It started working again. But after a few minutes it did it again. So we left it unplugged overnight. This morning we tried using the machine again but it kept doing the same thing. Computer stops working, starts beeping and screen displays the message "E1". We read a review about a machine like this, same manufacturer, different model (BRT-6300), and the person reported the same problem with the computer. It's going back to the store this afternoon.
I love it but it does seem to have a slight bump when I reach the top of the right peddle but not enough to be a big problem. I've only had a few weeks so it's still really hard to get past level or resistance number 1
Was a little difficult to put together.
everything is great.
We were looking for a cardio machine that would not take up space and have a good, comfortable motion to it - this is perfect for us! It's small enough it sits in the corner and we can see the TV or look out the window while we work out.
Great machine for the price. I use it on a regular basis and it is smooth and quiet. Glad I paid extra to have Sears delivery put it together it is too complicated to do on your own.
It is extremely difficult to adjust the seat height. The seat post sticks to the plastic insert. Removing all the grease helps a little but as soon as you stop moving the seat post it seizes up again. Even when you've got it loosened up it's very hard to move the seat post up & down.
As for warranty, I had difficulty in getting any satisfaction from them. They took my number but never returned two calls. I finally gave up and I suspect that this was the aim of this exercise. The display is difficult to read in low light conditions. I think that the elliptical function I pretty good and the bike and recumbent are fair.
This trainer machine is easy to use. The seat is wide and cushioned. You can use the elliptical for a more rigorous workout or use the pedals for a less intense workout.
