Good as modern dishwashers go...

Gets most dishes mostly clean by using sensors, washing a long time, and by heating the water to a higher temperature. I compare to my 35+ year old KitechenAid by Hobart in my other home still running strong. The old washer uses brute force from a much larger motor which supposedly consumes more energy while running, but runs much shorter time. Both are really effective in their own way. The Bosch does well on most dishes, but not all. The racks can be frustrating to get used to, but you do get used to them. None of the materials are made to the standards of the old-style dishwashers, but then again, I don't think that's expected. I don't see materials that are likely to rust, either. I would rate this dishwasher "fairly good" for washing. And it has not presented any problems in 3 years of use, either. It's best features are how clean it gets most dishes, interior size, especially the bottom rack, and that the controls on the front aren't accidentally changed by bumping them in use like new KitchenAids. My least favorite feature is that there is no vented and fan-forced drying, like old KitchenAids. It just sits there with really hot sanitzed dishes. So you have to be there after sometime after the cycle ends and open the door to vent the steam. If you leave the house and don't open it up for days, the humidity sits there on the dishes, a minor issue, but why didn't they vent it better?

Disappointing

Shortly after using this product for a year, the machine began throwing off error codes. E:24, E:01, E:25. The product was out of warranty and Bosch balked at any sort of help becasue my long-time appliance repairman was not authorized. They wanted to send their own man who charged $99 for the first ....get this......18 minutes......with more charges the more time he spent. All to diagnose. Very disappointed with Sears and Bosch.

Waste of money

|

This dishwasher has no drying cycle. I incorrectly assumed it did and I'm furious. If it's excluded because of energy efficiency then why does it have 4 washing cycles, 2hrs 20mins, 2hrs 15mins, 1hr 45mins, and 40mins? The first 2 are ridiculous and a waste of energy. Also, the 40min cycle doesn't clean silverware. I'm not going to wait 1hr 45 mins just to have clean silverware. Must stay up for wash to finish so I can open the dishwasher door because if I don't it stinks!!!! Literally. I HATE THIS WASTE OF MONEY.

Great dishwasher so far

|

My whirlpool dishwasher broke after 3.5 years because the heating element broke and melted part of the bottom of the dishwasher it was ok for a year after replacing the element but finally put a hole in the bottom and started to leak. Was very excited to get a stainless dishwasher that didn't have a heating element in it. It cleans great especially on auto wash and dries top rack items as well.

So quiet!

|

Fairly easy to install and does a good job with the dishes, even really full loads after the holidays. But the best thing is that it's so quiet.

Where's drying feature

|

Unit works well so far. It's deep and holds plenty of dishes/pots/etc. My only complaint is that I don't seem to have a heated drying cycle on it.

Quiet and Effective!

|

The quietest dishwasher I've ever owned. We've had several brands over the years, but this Bosch model is, by far, the most effective at cleaning and runs whisper-quiet. Installation was easy with existing fixtures (remember to change out the supply hose), and the instructions provided were more than ample.

Bosch dishwasher

|

I love my new dishwasher.  It's so quiet that you don't even know it's on.  The installation was done very well and my salesman Randy in Mays Landing was really great at taking care of me.  The only thing that I don't love about this dishwasher is that it doesn't have a heated dry option which is going to take some getting used to but besides that I love it.
