Be sure to check arrangement of dish & silverware racks!

We bought this as a replacement dishwasher, after researching carefully in Consumer Reports and similar rating systems. In general we are very satisfied with it -- it gets the dishes clean, and it is very quiet. As with other more energy efficient dishwashers, the cycle takes longer, but since we generally use it at night that isn't a problem. The biggest area of adjustment for us has been the arrangement of the racks that hold the dishes and silverware. We use a lot of individual bowls (like cereal bowls) and the spaces for those are on the upper rack, which leaves less room up top for drinking classes and top-rack items like plastic storage containers. We were used to putting all bowls and plates on the lower rack and putting glasses and plastic items up top. We are adjusting, but that was a significant unexpected change that we didn't anticipate.

Terrible dishwasher

Very disappointed in this dishwasher. I had heard that Bosch is a superior quality product but this has not been our experience. If I had paid more attention to the reviews, I would have bought another brand or at least a different model. We have had the same problem others have had with the machine stopping frequently during cycles because the door opens slightly and the machine stops. The door has to be pressed to restart. We bought dishwasher in June 2015 and have had to call Sears to come out to look at or repair it 5 times. None of this has fixed the problem. In my opinion, it must be a design flaw and should be removed from the market. However, Sears has been great though this process and has offered to replace it for us since we've had it only 3 months. I have never had to write a review for an appliance but my advice is DO NOT BUY THIS MODEL.

Cleans really well

I bought this a year ago then my house was flooded. There was no question that I was going to buy another. My dishes are spotless and I love it. Also I was using it last week and the power went out for 8 hours. When the power came on, the machine picked up where it left off. AMAZING [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

very good, but get 100 series instead

|

Dishwasher works great! But given the 100 series is the same price, it is the better deal. The 100 series has all the features of the ascenta, plus includes the accessory tray and has the speed60 cycle. Didnt know this before purchasing it. It does work great washing dishes and does have an express cycle, but wish there was a way to sanitize in this cycle, like with the speed60 cycle. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

What a great product!

|

Visiting family members didn't like our dirty dishes that came out of our 25-year-old dishwasher. They bought us a new one for Christmas. Now I see why they thought that. I didn't believe our dishes and glasses could look so bright and shiny! Still hard to get used to the quietness of our new Bosch. I keep getting up to check to see if it's running.
