I bought this product (mine vent out ) 4 months ago. I am very satisfied with the purchase. I cook everyday and it is Asian cooking. It means lots of grease and strong smell ingredients (turmeric,cumin, onion etc). I use it in high setting, It absorbs all the grease and odor from cooking. The house feel fresh and I do not have to worry about the smell on clothes and furniture. One thing I am having problem is my gas bill. I do not know it is the product or the installation, my gas bill has doubled.
Had to replace the motor twice in less than one year. There is clearly a problem with the motor.

Great blower
|I like the workmanship of this blower. It’s heavy duty and looks great. It’s pricey and yet the halogen bulbs are not included! It’s very inconvenient!!!
Powerful ventilation
|The hood is streamlined and the vent is very powerful. The only thing that is disappointing is that when the lights are on the lowest setting they flicker so I always have to have them turned brighter even if I don’t need it brighter.
Odors are non existent
|If you start the fan high enough to pull odors out right when you begin cooking, the house will not smell like food. I used to enter the house and know what was for dinner, not anymore!! Fan is loud at higher settings but I never use it full blast except for when something is burning
Strong blower
|This unit has a very strong and effective blower.
Although the packaging appeared solid, there was a noticeable "ding" in the hood. NO worries though, a replacement unit came quickly with no issues. It definitely enhanced our kitchens appeal! If I could change one thing about this unit, I would have had it manufactured slightly different so that the perimeter grommets used in fastening the hood together didn't shadow the face of the unit. You can barely see it, but if you get real close to the unit you can see the shadow of the grommets below. The light bulbs were also a chore to put in place. If you experience an issue with the bulbs, keep at it...you'll get them in eventually.
