Like the other reviewer we have had constant issues with the lights. I replace the bulbs with G4 base bulbs to spec and still have issues. Now the transformer appears to be shorted out on two of the four bulbs. This is ridiculous for a range hood of this price. We bought it based on brand name and appearance. The switches on it too are very cheap feeling when being used. I believe inferior parts were used on the lighting and switches. I just called Brian today(FYI closed on Sunday). We will need to get someone to replace the transformer now to fix the lights. If this is a common issue from poor design and parts, Brian should pay, despite the short 1 year warranty.

Have replaced all the light sockets once. It appears that the metal receivers inside of the sockets loosen and loose contact with the bulb prongs. Now the transformer went out. I have ordered a replacement. wish there was a retrofit with led lights.

The two lights on the right side stopped working. The bulbs were fairly new. Today, the two lights on the left side went out. I have no lights at all on my unit. Aside from this lighting issue the unit works great. I just wish the lights weren't so problematic. I have a friend with the same unit and she says one of her lights constantly dims.

I've had the unit for one month and replaced 2 of the Halogen bulbs.
Sometimes one of the light will not come on and you have to tap the socket or adjust the socket to get it to come on.

With external blower unit removes smoke and odor very well. Filters of good quality and easy ot maintain.
Halogen lights are of poor quality and need constant attention with bulb adn fixture replacement as the socket/bulb connction disintegrates.
