A great size at 48 quarts with sturdy handles and a lightweight design. Fits in my car really well. We could not get the thing open when we received it. It took some prying and we thought it was defective. We eventually realized it has great suction, which helps to keep the food cold. We had to stand behind the cooler and pull the lid up from behind.. It annoyed us at first, but the more we used it, the easier it was to open it. The cooler can be loaded it up with drinks and a picnic for 8 with no problem. After all this time it doesn't leak and keeps things cold for 24-48 hours; depending upon how many times I lift the lid. This cooler works perfectly and also can hold a lot of weight. i filled it up with water several times to put out our campfire and the handles seemed like it could hold very well. I like this cooler.
This cooler did not hold up for 2 hours when we were camping memorial day weekend. We put 22lbs of ice and had to replace the ice every few hour's. We were very disappointed. I called the company and they told me we didn't put enough ice in it. When they did there test for ice to last 3 days as stated on sticker that was in 90 degree weather with more ice and never opening cooler. How does that make sense get a cooler but don't open it for 3 days and you will have ice. I would recommend people to not waste there money on this cooler or waste your time calling company. Coleman will not stand behind thus cooler that shows on there sticker that ice last 3 days. I used a igloo cooler and had ice for 2 days. That shows you who has a better product and it's not Coleman.
I love this cooler so much I bought two of them. I got this for my family long ride to six flags. It was big enough to store two jumbo bags of ice plus over a dozen of small soda bottles in it. The ice took days to completely melt. It kept the soda nice and cool on a hot summer day in July.
