This cooler is huge! It's like having a fridge everywhere you go! Great for the price, everyone should have one.
I purchased to take on a long road trip. Within two days the handle broke, my dad fixed it and within the next week the other handle broke. It did not keep items colder any longer than a cheaper cooler would. I am now attempting to return it. Stick with the $20 coolers as this is a waste of money.
It is no doubt one of the best everyday reasonably priced cooler. It surely keeps ice much longer than my previous Coleman (which wasn't Xtreme/5-day cooler) but not for 5 days as advertised. In two trips, ice lasted max 3 days which is more than enough for our casual outdoor trips.
extremely great value
i bought this coleman 62 quart xtreme wheeled cooler for an amazing sale price! it will fit all of my essentials when we go camping. and will keep they all cold
Coleman makes quality ice coolers. I like the build of it in general. Internal space is a bit small due to the wheels but those make moving so much easier, so not going to complain. Water drain is also handy at the end of a tail gating event. Overall, I would recommend.
This cooler works much better than our older one. But, I've never had any ice last for 5 days (as they claim). I usually don't fill it completely with ice though, just about half full of ice, and half with whatever we're storing in it. If I filled it completely with ice, and drained the melted water out daily, and never opened the lid, it is possible there could be some ice left after 5 days under ideal conditions. Under normal use, don't expect it to work that well though. Ice does last a lot longer than in our older coolers, so this one is better insulated than most. For the price, it was a great deal. The lid fits really snug. That can be both good and bad. I'm a pretty good sized guy and have no problems opening it, and a snug lid is likely going to keep it colder longer, but women, children and weak men may have problems opening the lid. It's not really one of those coolers where you just one-handedly flip open the lid and grab a soda, sometimes you have to use two hands and pull fairly hard to get it open, especially if it's sitting in the back of a truck or SUV or on a picnic table at waist or chest level. If it's sitting low on the ground you have a bit better leverage pulling straight up on the lid, so it opens easier. Since it fits so snug, you also have to push down on it with a bit of force to get the lid closed completely. Sometimes it doesn't get closed properly by the kids causing the ice to melt quicker. Also, the version of the cooler you receive may not match what is pictured. The one we received looked more like the version on Coleman's website (cupholders were on both the left and right sides of the lid. The current photo on Sears website shows the version that has all the cupholders on the left side, and the sides of the cooler are shaped a bit different. I'm not sure if one version is better than the other or not. What we received when we ordered this item wasn't the version currently pictured, I don't know if it was a newer or older model. It does work fairly well, and nothing has broke so far, so I do recommend it.
Ice stays much longer
