Coleman Cable 14/2

The cable is working great and the locking mechanism hasn't failed or proved difficult to use. My only concern, and this may apply to all cables produced recently, is that the prongs bend too easily in the outlet. I think they're making these out of cheap metals nowdays.

Don't assume heavy duty cord has 3 prongs.

Good cord but my fault for assuming it would have three prong ends.

Great cord!

I purchased this extension cord to use with my electric lawn mower. It is perfect for my needs. I love the locking feature, which works great. It has 2 prongs which is what I needed for my new lawn mower. Very pleased with purchase.

Great extension cord, terrible purchasing experience

|

I was asked more than once by Sears to review my purchase, so here goes. Product is great, purchasing experience was not great. I bought this online to be picked up at a Sears location near me that claimed to have one in stock. Pickup was supposed to happen the next day (since they had it in stock, right?), but the email I received that next day said it was actually out of stock. There was a link in this notification email to simply have Sears ship me the product for free instead, but when I clicked this link it took me to an empty Sears web page with no visible option to get the product sent to me, and in fact nothing related to my product at all. I called Sears that day and requested it be shipped to me as promised in the email. Instead, Sears DID charge me shipping but gave me a 10% discount on the product - except that the discount did not equal the shipping charge, so I ended up paying a couple extra bucks over my original purchase price for their mistake; not worth picking a fight over, but certainly irritating. (I had paid in full for the product before my pickup date - Sears credited back to my account my original purchase price before charging me the new higher amount. Oh well.) For days after this disheartening phone call, my phone blew up with (unanswered) calls from their salespeople trying to sell me countertops or something. Great extension cord, though! Probably wouldn't have left this review if Sears hadn't emailed multiple requests for me to do so.
