Purchased this item at Kmart. This is a Conair Iron so great quality and performance can be expected. This was a gift. I understand the recipient was thrilled and this did a great job making loose curls in her long hair.

Easy to use, easy to get used to

I got this not too long ago and have used it a couple of times. The product gets very nice curls which hold all day. Would definitely recommend :)

Great for a few quick, natural look curls

|

I'm 60, and have never been a hair-curling person. I've got a blunt bob these days, though, and have enjoyed the curl in a lot of it, especially in the front...it's the rest of the hair that has some straighter areas, as well as some frizzy bits. I'd started wrapping some locks around my finger and then aiming the hairdryer at them (I'm new to hairdryers, too-- haha!), and thought how nice it would be to have a sort of tool which could do that. This sort of curling rod is brand new to me, even though everyone in the world has apparently used them (as well as regular curling rods) since the beginning of time! I don't do every bit of my hair, just bits here and there, and I'm getting better at it-- it takes 4 sec at the lowest heat to get a soft, dangling curl that lasts all day, and a dozen or so of them scattered over my head of hair just looks like the "good" parts at the front. In my lifelong naiveté, I never thought about the way that sort of curling could smooth our a frizzy area. It's a whole new world for me! The one drawback is burning the fingers that wind and hold the hair, of course-- and the goofy little 3 finger glove included with this tool is completely useless, as it's so clunky that I don't know how you'd ever pick up hair with it. I'm getting better at burn avoidance through practice, though.

Excellent Value

|

I purchased this after I saw my niece use hers. She curled my hair and I fell in love. For me, it definitely takes some practice. It’s my first time using a wand.
She made it look so easy lol
It’s a look I can’t get with a standard curling iron.
