Way to go, Cosco! It's about time someone started manufacturing baby equipment that isn't bigger and more luxurious. My mother-in-law has a high chair similar to this from the seventies, and I always wondered why folding high chairs weren't made anymore. They just make so much sense! The plastic parts appear cheaper than many other high chairs, but the price is much cheaper, too. The tray is WAY smaller than most, but does baby really need a tray the size of a small table? Very easy to remove and clean. The cover is repellent fabric, easy to wipe clean and such a cute pattern! The cover is not removable. The chair is not nearly as deep as most, which suits a younger baby better. It looks as though baby might get too big for it, but that could be because I am used to seeing babies in such oversized high chairs. Overall, I am so excited that my high chair does not have to be a major part of my decor for the next 2 years, and when I am finished with it it will store away nicely.
The tray on this high chair does not stay on. when it is supposed to be locked in place so that the child can lean up against it and it not move, it slips out of place and comes off of the chair. This is not acceptable. I am getting it ready to take back to Kmart.
This is perfect for everyday use. I had one for my first baby and got one for my second as I loved it too much. It is very easy to fold and very convenient for small apartments.
I was very disappointed with this high chair. I have six kids. This high chair was not bulky and it is cute. It is easy to clean. But I had trouble when my baby was little because it did not have shoulder straps. Even now that she is 11 months she can sit up too far and rock the chair. She can easily use her foot to knock the tray off too. And it is hard to put the tray on to begin with. I would definitely not buy this high chair again.
I like that it is a compact fold. However my ten month old all he has to do is push on the tray and it slides forward. I am not sure if he could get it off all the way because I push it back before but I find this to be a safety issue. He was able to push it forward when he was six months even. Don't think I will use it for very much longer afraid he will get it off way too easly.
Tried to use this with our however the seat was not adjustable so we put it in the closet. With our now 16 month old the seat sits at a permanent slightly reclined position that does not seem comfortable for our child. Might work for a 2-3 year old.
I bought this highchair to replace our old Cosco highchair that my son had torn from rocking back & forth in it. This highchair has a better seam at the top so hopefully that won't happen again. Overall this highchair is pretty good quality but I wish the grooves that the tray is secured into were deeper. The tray very easily pops off without much effort & without pushing the release buttons.
