I did the wheel nut on corolla 2003 (160 lbs/ft), took off crank pulley bolt on Honda accord 1999 (130 Lbs/ft) easily. Took me 3 seconds to break loose them. I'll give update about more reviews. since I have this tool for a couple of days. Overall, I'm really satisfied.
Had problems with it just after 30 days...now you can't return it to the store for a refund because of new policy ...The store employee said I have to contact searspartsdirect.com and after I talked with them, they said that the store should have told me to take it back to merchandise pick up area and they could have sent it back for service. I will try that again and give you another update. Anyway, I have been a loyal craftsman buyer for years and now I am changing my mind.
Don't buy this. Piece of junk. Not reliable. Craftsman brand tarnished with this "Made in China" garabage.
I have used this wrench a lot in my driveway working on my Jeep. After 11 months, it stopped working. I figured it could have been a battery charging issue so I recharged the batteries and to no avail, it still didn't work (only the LED's turn on). I wasn't too frustrated as past experience with SEARS warranty repair has been great.
Well as I make my calls today to schedule repair, I'm told that Sears cannot repair my impact wrench and they cannot find the wrench purchase on my acct at all. So they tell me, "call the store".
As my typical experience has shown, i don't want to call the store. No one at SEARS knows what they're doing, understands their product, nor understand how to answer questions regarding the products in their dept. This is definitely harsh feedback but it is honest feedback. There always seems to be an 80 yr old man that is hard to find but he's worked at Sears for 40 years and seems to be the go-to guy that ever employee in the store refers you to...if he is around.
I was basically told by the individual working in the tools dept that SEARS cannot help me, doesn't know what else he can tell me, and you have no options for that impact wrench.
Great, I now am the proud owner of a $185 Craftsman paper weight. No wonder all their stores are closing down. Terrible service. Terrible experience. And now...Terrible products.
I've been buying Craftsman hand tools, yard equipment, Sears Home Appliances, etc...for the past 20 years. I easily have spent more than $20k over those 20 years at Sears when I think about all the major transactions I have made. The old stuff...still works and I still own it. The new stuff...breaks and falls apart within 5. ugh!!!
Today is the day I stop. SEARS/ Craftsman have lost a multigenerational loyal customer. I definitely will instill in my children alternative brands to purchase. ************** is good enough and if it breaks, i'm only out pennies on the dollar compared to Craftsman prices. Farewell Sears/ Craftsman. I was good run while you were good.
I keep this in my car and comes in very useful when I need to change tires. Great tool for the price.
