This impact is light weight, well designed, does not make you fatigued after handling it all day, has plenty of power if you choose the proper air hose with high flow fittings of a minimum of .312 id. Most of these impacts are probably purchased for home use and should have little problems removing lug nuts torqued to proper specifications. I set my regulator to 110psi due to loss of air pressure created by drag inside the air lines, the air hose used with this impact is .500 min id with the smallest id .312 at the fittings. If you use a .375 diameter air hose make sure the id at the fitting connection is .312 minimum . So far very impressed !
I had bought this impact because my craftsman electric 1/2" died on 2/06/17. first job with it was to take off my 85ft.lb. lug nuts they wouldnt budge , checked them with my snap-on torque wrench and sure enough all of them were 81-85 ft. lbs.. I thought must be a fluke ..I have a 7.5 cfm 80 gallon compressor and use impacts daily as an ase master tech in my own business.. naturally I was curious ..I opened the impact up to find the rotary cylinder has a huge casting flaw in the top center , a half moon divot from the front to the back , no wonder the **** thing stalls with hand pressure...I go to return knowing as I grew up sears always honored defective and broken tools ,lets be honest craftsman is sears strongest foot in the consumer world.. long story short both the cashier and manager were extremely rude to a level that even Im not used to ...and the new policy is NO RETURNS WITHOUT A RECEIPT under any circumstances on pneumatic tools, which I conveniently tossed while thinkin "its craftsman I wouldnt have to worry" ...last time I ever purchase a craftsman tool Ive spent literally thousands over the years and watched as the tools lost quality.. This time Ive had enough ,2 impact guns in one month, from the same brand I held in my hand when at 6 years old my grandfather handed me learning to fix things..sad.
for 30 bucks this is a worthwhile item, you get what you pay for, if you need more power get the high end one.
Decent for minor home use. Don't have the power that I was expecting.
