Hi all. This is my First Sliding Miter Saw. After shopping around I decided on this one. As it seemed to be the Best Deal I could find. Came with a Stand. I'm 5'4". And find the Stand a little low. Assembly was Straight Forward. Could use a larger picture. Accuracy? Mine came almost dead on. Dust Collection? Could be better. I've used a Shop-Vac with a 2 1/2" Hose and a smaller hose with Adapter. Very tight fit. And doesn't collect much dust. Maybe I'll find a Hose and clamp it to the fitting. Laser? I don't really use it. As the way this saw operates, I can line it up by sight. Bevel and Miter Cuts? Have not tried it yet. As far as the Stand, I am going to see if I can make a Mobile Base for it. To make it easier to move in my tight workspace.
1st day of using this saw I noticed the Degrees was off by 5 degrees when on 90 degrees so you couldn't make a square cut, that was no big deal I used a bevel gauge to put the saw at the correct angle, then the shaft you tighten to keep it from moving broke off, now the saw cant lock at any angle.
the saw is great but the Laser portion is off, don't know how adjust it.
other then that it work fantastic, I am glad I bought it.
As far as this saw goes, I'm pretty impressed with craftsmanship (no pun intended) I'm a trim Carpenter and I just finished running 450 literal feet of door trim and the saw performed well and mitres were very accurate.
The saw is great! After insuring everything was square, cutting lumber from 1x4 to 2x8 was a breeze. The free stand was easy to put together, but was WAY too short for a person 6'3" and I wasn't going to use it anyway. It will be repurposed for something else. I didn't think I would like the laser, but it works as advertised, but is dim in bright sunlight. The instructions in the manual were clear and easy to follow. There were no difficulties aligning the blade or the miters. So far, the blade has performed well, but I am not a furniture builder yet, so it will do until I need to make more precision cuts.
Doesn't cut whole way through at a 45. Still leaves about 1/8". Laser difficult to set up and calibrate.
