I spent most of an evening on the web looking at table saws. I really liked this saw, but a couple of the reviews were a bit dark. Perhaps beauty is , as they say, is in the eyes of the beholder. After assembling the big saw, I tested it and loved it. The wheels in front make it easy to move. The laser is spot on and easy to adjust. I did remove all the safety attachments except for the knife which supports the laser. I assume these attachments work well for simple cuts, but my projects tend to require some rather long cuts. The saw is very stable. While I was playing with the laser, all the saw dust ended up in the bag. The tool compartments worked well and kept everything neat and tidy. I really like this saw especially the laser, which will provide a second opinion before I cut.
What a horrible group of liars your customer service department is and what a bunch ignorant uncaring slugs. I will never go to Sears again.
Sears won't replace the item. It was broken in box. Customer service was terrible. Couldn't get a hold of the right dept to help me. Out $285. Worst purchasing experience ever.
Very satisfied with the table saw.
Had trouble with it from day one, very tight to adjust and it finally broke.
I own this table saw 218073, within 2 years of using it mostly on the weekends The Height Adjust Wheel (2RVH) internal part broke NOT AVAILABLE, then 2 teeth on the Bevel Gear (2RVM) chipped off & again NOT AVAILABLE. In the winter I keep my heat on, in the garage where all my tools are, this table saw is very sensitive, sometimes you can adjust the blade sometimes you can't. I called parts direct and they said NOT a lot of replacement parts are available for this Model 218073 are available.
After researching for several nights. I decided to go with this saw. For a light, portable saw, it is packed with features normally found only on a larger much more expensive table saw.Very satisfied.
