Fast and sharp electric saw

This cuts through tree bark and even the hardest wooden branches I have thrown at it. It comes with a blade that works for most things and other blades can be added separately.

Unfortunate garbage

Generally, I like craftsman products. I find them to be well priced and work much better than the price would suggest. This is an unfortunate exception. I originally bought this to replace a stolen evolv saw, which was discontinued at my local store. I had good results with the evolved saw, so I figured this one wouldn't be much different. Unfortunately, it was. For some reason, the shoe on this saw is mounted to the blade guard I stead of the main body of the saw, so its extremely unstable. Just the pressure of setting the saw down on its shoe was enough to noticeably deflect the blade from square, or whatever other blade angle you've set it to. In addition, if you're in the middle of a cut and make the mistake of applying any pressure at all, the blade deflects even further and will either bind or result in a curved cut. In short, if you're looking for a circular saw, save your money and buy one that doesn't have such a glaring design defect

Pretty solid tool

Cuts like butter brand new. The blade gets a bit dull quick, but a good blade and it has the power needed to cut. A bit sluggish when cutting wet pressure treated, but again think it was more of the blade.
