A FANTASTIC 12-VOLT DIRECT DRIVE INFLATOR BY CRAFTSMAN

I find the Craftsman 12-Volt Direct Drive Inflator to be far superior to any other 12-Volt, portable air compressor in its category, in terms of performance, power, speed, quality, durability and reliability. This compressor is really fantastic! It has a solid build, too. For a real test, I lowered the air pressure of one of my car tires by 5 pounds, and turned on POWER. Within less than a minute, the pressure was raised to the level of the original 5 pounds. How can you go wrong with a CRAFTSMAN tool? The gauge is another impressive feature; it is very clear and readable.

    I am sorry - it's a real DUD

I bought two. One for my bicycle tires, and one for our car. Both units stall between 40 and 45 psi. Car tires - yes, 70 or 110 pound bicycle tires - forget it! It's piston is very small, and as a result has really slow delivery rate. Obviously the department purchase representative did not actually try one, and relied on the stated specs that come in the manual, which states "max PSI output - 130 PSI". No way! I guess that means that if it delivers anywhere between 0and130 PSI - it passes the statement! Sorry Sears, I really used to value the Craftsman brand, but it really misses all my needs here!

    Apparently Robust Air Pump

    |

Bought this Craftsman 12 volt air pump to replace a different, less expensive, Craftsman 12 volt air pump that failed. This one has is much more solidly built, and should be more reliable. My tests show it works to inflate car tires OK.
