This unit hands down beats the competition garbage (slime brand) I went through 3 of the other brand in a week. This one is also quieter. The only thing I dont like is if you need more than 100psi you have to manually wait rather than set it and let it do its thing. other than that great little unit. Also its cheaper at Kmart than Sears so get it here!
This thing worked a couple of times, then started blowing fuses in my Pontiac and my wife's Mitsubishi. Sears customer service being what it is, the yokels at the local Sears refuse to replace it, because they can't find a record of my purchase despite the fact that I'm supposed to be a Craftsman Club member, the main benefit of which is supposed to be that I'm not supposed to have to save receipts.
Have a slow leak and use it about once every 8 days. Pumps up tire pretty fast.
its easy to use and acurate
I recently bought my second one of these inflators, as the hose wore out on my 11-year-old model. This inflator is very easy to use, as it plugs in to the cigarette lighter/power outlet and comes with a long enough cord to reach all four tires. I can inflate all four tires, plus the spare in the trunk, in less than 10 minutes. The removable gauge is very accurate as well. It is also far more convenient than going to a gas station for air.
Very happy with this pump. Just set the desired tire pressure and the pump will automatically stop when reached. May need to set it about 1 psi lower to keep from overshooting. Much faster than my old inflator.
I bought this for the auto-shutoff feature. The 1st unit didn't display tire pressure when the pump was attached to the tire. I exchanged for another one. That one consistently read 1.5 PSI higher while pumping then when the pump stops (across 5 tires/pump tests). As a result it always underflates. And since the shutoff can only be set in increments of 1 PSI, I would have to preset it to be 2 PSI over the desired level for the auto-shutoff to not underinflate, but this would result in at least .5 PSI over.
Additionally, twice the pump turned off and the display went dark and I had to toggle the switch a few times to get it to come back on. This could NOT have been due to overheating as I did not use the pump for more than about 3 minutes total.
