This ISN'T a 19-24V drill so don't expect it to work like one. It's a very compact LIGHT 12V for average use. It's been great so far for automotive work and grinding/polishing. I DID buy the extended warranty as the clutch makes a lot of noise when you just drop the trigger. They all do it so it may be fine but 9 bucks for 2 additional years is cheap insurance. Yes, you can see the brush sparks..... as you can on my Milwaukee and many other drills. None of them is rated for enclosed explosive spaces. The battery charges fast and discharges slowly. I was amazed at it's "staying power" for such a small battery. It's li-ion so it doesn't slow down before it dies it just dies which I like. When using it for polishing and grinding, I don't want the torque to start slowly dropping off.
It's a handy tool when it's functioning. Feels good in the hand, lightweight, & has decent power. I've had it about a year. It never sees hard use, just lightweight around the house use. The problem is that it started to smoke the other day, a very light scent. The following day smoke started pouring out of it, then it stopped functioning. The day after that it was functioning again because it had cooled off. The troublesome thing is that I was driving small machine screws at the first clutch setting, & only for a couple of minutes total, so there wasn't any kind of strain going on. Over the 3 days it was in operation for between 3 & 4 minutes total. I doubt it's going to last much longer. Doing some research on the 'net, it seems that the electric motor burning out is a common issue. Now I'm torn between buying another one, or just spending twice as much to get another brand that will last.
purchased this drill for a small project, and the tools works fantastic. I completed the work with 2 battery charges.
wanted a smaller drill so that the wife could use it also.:) works great and better then i would have thought.
Bought this a few week ago,in person, and the price was great! $35 for it. I have used it about 10 times so far and I only had to charge it ONCE. Battery life is really great. Only downfall is the drill tip isn't magnetic so the screws fall off when trying to drill them into a wall. Other then that, great!
Purchased for wife's inside-the-house toolbox. Lightweight, power and battery life is perfect for those light to medium jobs.
Wife absolutely loves the handiness this tool provides.
small fit tool bag depenable had over 3 years now got flash lite never need batterys same battery for drill very rare needs charged. highly recommend.
Great drill. Works great and light and easy to use. It is by no means the be all end all to drills at 12volts. Great tool for the price you cant beat it. It is also not a toy like some people say. The only only regret I have is not doing research on this before I bought it. This tool line up has been discontinued for some time now. I would have went with Milwaukee but at an entry price of 199-299 this beats it by a long shot. I think they will keep making the drill, 1/4 impact, hammer tool and multi tool but all the other items are gone. Happy Shopping I love it and when the tool dies I am going to another brand.
