Not Stamped made in USA

Based on other reviews I was hesitant to purchase these sockets. Everything was there. Fit great on my magnetic organizers. Etching on sockets not as easy to read as advertised , but OK. The only thing that bothers me is weather or not tools made in U.S.A. or not. Not one socket was marked where it was made. So, I can only assume they were made elsewhere, who knows where,. While chatting with Sears Rep she assured they were made in U.S.A. but who knows for sure? Bottom line: Great Set for around the house.

I'm beyond disappointed, I'm angry. Never thought I would ever say this.

I wish I had more room for this, EVERYONE needs to know. If you are a fan of American made tools and love Craftsman as I do, this is simply amazing. I ordered this set a few months ago, part of the order was missing ( 1 of 3 premium ratchets ). I was told to send the entire order back even though the socket set was right. When the sockets showed the 2nd time, They were made in China. I had the US made the first time, waited 2 months, then got Chinese sockets. Contacted Sears, all the way to the manager, told " sorry ". We have no way of knowing where they are made, even though the picture clearly shows made in the USA. I pride myself on buying American made, my entire tool box is made in the USA. This was an heirloom for my son, I take great pride in that. Then being told " yeah we need to fix that I guess ". As of now, I'm done with Craftsman tools. Nobody cares........I gave a survey and asked to be contacted, nothing weeks later.

I bought this set as a gift for a young man. He is delighted and already using them. There was double of one and another was missing. Our local Sears took care of it..No problem.

The sockets are ok, but there are a lot of doubles

The sockets look good, I think the side etching is a waist - can't see it except in direct sunlight and then the etching is still hard to see.
I received multiple small sized sockets (two bags I can't use, gonna give them away), missing a couple of the larger sockets, will have to go to lows and pick them up to complete the sets, along with the larger sizes that didn't come in the sets.

Kinda disappointed overall - but then again I don't know who decides which sockets go in these sets but every set I've looked at seems to be missing socket sizes.

Look the description over carefully-

NOT the best of Craftsman

|

Laser marking is BAD, very hard to read, nicks and dings in most sockets before they were chromed, NOT marked as "Made in USA", so...?
