Fix broken Stem

I owe 6 of these clamps, and the plastic stud that the 2 reverse springs are attached to has broken on 4 of them. That is the only problem I have had with these clamps. They need to make the stud metal. So what I did with mine was open them up and drill a hole were the stud broke and inserts a screw in it's place. Re attach the 2 springs to the screw and you will have no more problems with these clamps.

Reverse Direction Broke

I was using the clamp today and when I started to reverse the grip the mechanism stopped. I couldn't get it to work. Unfortunately this clamp only comes with a one (1) year warranty. and it has been over a year. Local Sears store confirmed there is no replacement. So I took off the four screws to see if I could fix it. There are two spings for the reverse mechanism and both where detached. Unfortunately as best I could tell one end of each is attached to a plastic stem that was broken off. Just great. If anyone has had this problem and was able to fix it I woould appreciate your comment.

I use this clamp almost everyday, it's holds great and gives ratchet effect at the end to insure a good hold .

Great size

|

This clamp is a great size for most projects. It is well built. It feels like it will last a long time. It is easy to use with just one hand. Some clamps have cheap plastic grips or handles. This one feels pretty heavy duty. I just used it on 8 inch wood and it worked just like I needed it to. I got it on sale so it was worth the price. I would buy it again and would recommend it to anyone needing a clamp. I wish it came in a 2 pack.

Tight grip, no slippage

Does a good clamping job, the padded jaws preclude marring the surfaces being clamped.
