The Craftsman 2 Ton Aluminum jack has helped me out because of the light weight and sleek built. I look forward to working with this jack for many years to come. I would recommend this jack to anyone who can't decide which one to purchase. Craftsman fan for life!
One wheel fell off in the first week due to a bent e-clip. I bought an e-clip and reinstalled it. The clips I bought at the hardware store are standard, and much thicker than those originally installed on the jack. Started leaking 6 months after I had it, now a bit over a year and it will no longer lift, AND there are no repair parts available other than the "Power Unit" for $225. A $225 fix for a $180 jack? Time to stop buying craftsman. Find another jack, don't waste your money on one that is not serviceable.
I have used this jack (with stands) for home auto oil changes and tire rotations. I added a rubber stopper to the top of the handle to prevent unwanted scratches or marks ro my garage wall or windows. Fast action beats the car factory jack, when combined with a pinch weld adapter. Add a disc of MDF into the center of the circular jack plate to level it out and create a stable base for the pinch weld adapter.
Very happy with this Craftsman® 2 Ton Jack. Easy assemble and install handle as well as simple instructions to purge air from hydraulic system...Pleased with my choice
